Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Permainan Tradisional Bebentengan Berbasis Socratic Method Terhadap Peningkatan Karakter Humanity Siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Grup Desain, dalam metode ini terdapat kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan secara konvensional dan kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan berbasis socratic method. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V di sekolah dasar dan sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VB sebagai kelas kontrol di SDN Mangkubumi yang berjumlah 16 orang pada masing-masing kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel tersebut yaitu purposive sampling yang dipilih berdasarkan tujuan tertentu. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket karakter humanity siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan pretest, treatment, dan posttest, kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada karakter humanity kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa permainan tradisional bebentengan berbasis socratic method, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh permaunan tradisional bebentengan berbasis socratic method terhadap peningkatan karakter humanity siswa di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi menjadi bukti-bukti empirik dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, kemudian penelitian ini juga memfasilitasi siswa untuk mengetahui dan menerapkan nilai-nilai karakter pada permainan tradisional bebentengan. Kata kunci: karakter humanity, permainan tradisional, sekolah dasar ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of traditional games based on the Socratic Method fortification on the improvement of students' human character. The method used in this research is the Quasi Experiment method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, in this method there is a control class that is given conventional treatment and an experimental class that is given treatment based on the socratic method. The population in this study were all fifth grade students in elementary school and the sample used was class VA as the experimental class and VB as the control class at SDN Mangkubumi, totaling 16 people in each class. The sampling technique is purposive sampling which is selected based on a specific purpose. The instrument used in this research is the student humanity character questionnaire. Research data were collected using pretest, treatment, and posttest, then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis in the form of normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The results of this study are that there is a significant increase in the humanity character of the experimental class after being given treatment in the form of a traditional game of fortification based on the socratic method, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the traditional game of fortification based on the socratic method on improving the character of humanity in elementary school students. The results of this study have implications for empirical evidence from previous studies, then this research also facilitates students to know and apply character values in traditional fortified games.
