Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) adalah proses membelajarkan orang asing agar dapat berbahasa Indonesia sesuai konteks budaya. Terdapat empat keterampilan berbahasa yang diajarkan dalam pembelajaran BIPA yaitu menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang sangat penting dan sering diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah keterampilan berbicara. Namun, di dalam praktiknya terdapat permasalahan bahwa siswa BIPA ditemukan sangat lemah dalam kemampuan berbicara. Kompetensi berbicara yang masih rendah disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor internal dalam diri siswa BIPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji coba metode audio lingual berbantuan e-modul interaktif dalam pembelajaran berbicara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Metode eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu penelitian subjek tunggal. Jumlah sesi pada kondisi baseline-A1 adalah tiga sesi, kondisi intervensi sebanyak lima sesi, dan kondisi baseline-A2 adalah tiga sesi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa BIPA kelas 11 di Bandung Independent School. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode audio lingual berbantuan e-modul interaktif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa BIPA. Hal ini terbukti dari data hasil penelitian bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada setiap tahap. Nilai rata-rata subjek 1 dalam kondisi baseline-A1 adalah 56, intervensi adalah 78, dan baseline-A2 adalah 80. Sedangkan, nilai rata-rata subjek 2 pada tahap baseline-A1 adalah 57, intervensi adalah 82, dan baseline-A2 adalah 85. Persentase data overlap dari hasil penelitian kedua subjek adalah 0%. Artinya, tidak ada data tumpang tindih antara tahap baseline-A1 dan intervensi. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian tersebut, penerapan metode audio lingual berbantuan e-modul interaktif terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa BIPA. Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is the process of teaching foreigners to speak Indonesian according to the cultural context. There are four language skills in BIPA, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. One of the language skills that is very important and often applied in daily life is speaking skill. However, in practice there is a problem that BIPA students are found to be very weak in speaking skills in Indonesian. The low speaking skill is caused by several internal factors in BIPA students. This study aims to test the audio-lingual method assisted by interactive e-modules in learning to speak Indonesian. This research method uses quantitative methods with experimental research methods. The experimental method used is single subject research. The number of sessions in the baseline-A1 condition was three sessions, the intervention condition was five sessions, and the baseline-A2 condition was three sessions. The subjects in this research were two 11th grade BIPA students at Bandung Independent School. The results of this research indicate that the application of the interactive e-module assisted audio lingual method can improve the speaking ability of BIPA students. This is evident from the research data that there is an increase in the average value at each sessions. The mean score of subject 1 in the baseline-A1 condition was 56, the intervention was 78, and the baseline-A2 was 80. Meanwhile, the mean score of subject 2 in the baseline-A1 stage was 57, the intervention was 82, and the baseline-A2 was 85. The percentage of overlapping data from the results of the research of the two subjects is 0%. That is, there is no data overlap between the baseline-A1 and intervention stages. Based on the data from the research, the application of the audio lingual method assisted by interactive e-modules was proven to improve the speaking ability of BIPA students.
