Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan membaca di kelas II SD Baginda II Kabupaten Sumedang. Disebabkan pembelajaran yang membosankan maka perlunya media yang beraneka ragam. Peneliti melakukan penelitian mengenai kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana siswa tingkat rendah. Penelitian ini berupaya mengungkapkan penggunaan media video daring dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana siswa kelas II SDN Baginda II dan berupaya mengungkapkan pengaruh penggunaan media video dalam pembelajaran daring untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana siswa SD tingkat rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaa media video daring sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan partisipan sebanyak 10 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan media video efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana pada siswa kelas II. Terbukti dari rata-rata skor hasil kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana siswa kelas II SD Negeri Baginda II Kabupaten Sumedang yaitu Pre-test diperoleh sebesar 6,10 dan post-test diperoleh nilai sebesar 9,30. Hasil perbandingan uji sample-t perbedaan pada nilai pre-test dan post-test yaitu sebesar 3,2 artinya ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil nilai kemampuan membaca siswa setelah di berikan treatment. Maka penggunaan media video secara daring berpengaruh dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kalimat sederhana siswa kelas II SD Negeri Baginda II Kabupaten Sumedang. ------- This research is motivated by the low reading skills in class II SD Baginda II Sumedang Regency. Due to boring learning, so the variation of media is needed. Researchers conducted research on the ability to read simple sentences of low-level students. This study seeks to reveal the use of online video media in improving the ability to read simple sentences for second grade students of SDN Baginda II and seeks to reveal the effect of using video media in online learning to improve the ability to read simple sentences for low-level elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to improve and to determine the effect of using online video media as an effort to improve the ability to read simple sentences. The type of research used is quantitative method with 10 participants. The results showed that the use of video media was effective in improving the ability to read simple sentences in grade II students. It is evident from the average score of the results of the ability to read simple sentences for grade II students of SD Negeri Sultan II, Sumedang Regency, namely the Pre-test obtained by 6.10 and the post-test score of 9.30. The results of the comparison of the sample-t test, the difference in the pre-test and post-test scores is 3.2, meaning that there is a difference in the average results of students' reading abilities after being given treatment. So the use of online video media has an effect and can improve the ability to read simple sentences for second grade students of SD Negeri Baginda II, Sumedang Regency.
