Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena adanya permasalahan kurang pahamnya siswa pada materi hak dan kewajiban. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu kegiatan pembelajaran kurang bervariasi guru lebih sering menyampaikan materi dengan ceramah pada materi ini. Model kooperatif TSTS menjadi solusi yang peneliti tawarkan berharap membantu siswa memahami materi hak dan kewajiban serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif TSTS terhadap pemahaman materi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar pada tema hak dan kewajiban dalam bidang studi PPKn. Peneliiti menggunakan metode True Eksperimen Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas V SDN Mangkubumi berjumlah 43 siswa. Penelitian mengambil random sampel dari tiap kelas sebanyak 15 siswa dari kelas VA dan VB. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, posttest, dan dokumentasi. posttest berbentuk uraian berjumlah 10 butir soal. Analisis data hasil posttest menggunakan uji T test Independent samples T-test dengan SPSS 24. Jumlah hasil posttest siswa 15 siswa dari kelas eksperimen dan 15 siswa dari kelas kontrol menghasilkan skor rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 66,46. Pada kelas kontrol rata-rata 50,66. Demikian terlihat ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Jumlah Thitung 2.141 > Ttabel 2.048 maka disimpulkan H0 ditolak, dan Ha di terima artinya ada perbedaan nilai hasil posttest antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas proses model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS terhadap pemahaman materi siswa kelas V pada tema hak dan kewajiban efektif dalam membantu pemahaman materi pada tema hak dan kewajiban siswa kelas V SDN Mangkubumi Tasikmalaya. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the problem of students' lack of understanding on the material rights and obligations. One of the causes is that the learning activities are less varied, the teacher more often delivers the material with lectures on this material. The TSTS cooperative model is a solution that researchers offer hoping to help students understand the material rights and obligations and increase student learning motivation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the TSTS cooperative learning model on the material understanding of fifth grade elementary school students on the theme of rights and obligations in the field of Civics. The researcher uses the True Experiment Posttest Only Control Group Design method. The research population of the fifth grade students of SDN Mangkubumi amounted to 43 students. The study took a random sample from each class as many as 15 students from class VA and VB. The research instruments used were interviews, posttest, and documentation. posttest in the form of a description of 10 items. Analysis of posttest results data using T-test Independent samples T-test with SPSS 24. The number of posttest results of 15 students from the experimental class and 15 students from the control class resulted in an average score of 66.46 in the experimental class. In the control class the average is 50.66. Thus, it can be seen that there is a difference in the average posttest results of the experimental class and the control class. The number of Tcount is 2,141 > Ttable 2,048, it is concluded that H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in the posttest result between the experimental class and the control class. So it was concluded that the effectiveness of the TSTS type cooperative learning model process on the material understanding of fifth grade students on the theme of rights and obligations was effective in helping to understand the material on the theme of rights and obligations of fifth grade students at SDN Mangkubumi Tasikmalaya.
