Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh jarangnya pupujian dinadomkan dan kurangnya minat pemuda untuk melestarikan pupujian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menginventarisir, mendeskripsikan, menganalisis struktur, isi, nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pupujian di Kecamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut, serta bisa dijadikan bahan pembelajaran menyimak di SMP. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif analitik. Sumber datanya yaitu hasil dari wawancara dan teks-teks pupujian di Kecamatan Cilawu. Hasil pengumpulan data dari empat narasumber diperoleh 36 pupujian. Dari 14 pupujian yang dianalisis berdasarkan struktur lahir, umumnya terdiri dari 2-36 bait, jumlah baris pada setiap bait terdiri dari 2, 4, 8 baris, serta umumnya terdiri dari 8 suku kata. Diksi didominasi oleh kata-kata yang berfokus terhadap rima dan ritma, kata-kata ajakan, menyuruh, dan melarang. Imaji yang ditemukan yaitu imaji penglihatan, pendengaran, perasaan, dan pikiran. Gaya bahasa didominasi oleh gaya bahasa simile dan alegor. Rima didominasi oleh rima laras wekas. Berdasarkan struktur batin, tema dalam pupujian umumnya mengingatkan atau nasihat supaya manusia melaksanakan amal ibadah, iman kepada Allah dan Rasul, serta menyampaikan ilmu-ilmu keagamaan. Nada yang digunakan yaitu nada mengingatkan, mengajak, berdo’a, dan nada memberi nasihat. Rasa yang tergambar adalah rasa takut, sedih, susah, sesal, dan rasa berharap. Amanatnya supaya manusia melaksanakan perintah dari Alloh dan menjauhi segala larangan-Nya. Nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan yaitu religius, jujur, kerja keras, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, bersahabat/komunikatif, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Penerapan hasil penelitian mengenai pupujian ini cocok dijadikan bahan pembelajaran menyimak di SMP. Oleh karena itu, pupujian yang telah diteliti meliputi struktur dan nilai pendidikan karakter penting untuk dilaksanakan supaya melestarikan sastra yang tersebar di masyarakat. The purpose of this research is to inventory, describe, analyze the structure, content, value of character education pupujian in Cilawu Sub�District, Garut District, and can be used as listening learning materials in junior high school. The method used is descriptive analytical method. The data sources are the results of interviews and texts of pupujian in Cilawu Sub-district. The results of data collection from four sources obtained 36 compliments. Of the 14 hymns analyzed based on external structure, they generally consist of 2-36 stanzas, the number of lines in each stanza consists of 2, 4, 8 lines, and generally consists of 8 syllables. Diction is dominated by words that focus on rhyme and rhythm, words of invitation, commanding, and prohibiting. The images found are the images of sight, hearing, feeling, and thoughts. The style of language is dominated by simile and allegor. The rhyme is dominated by the wekas laras rhyme. Based on the inner structure, the themes in the pupujian generally remind or advise people to carry out acts of worship, believe in Allah and the Messenger, and convey religious knowledge. The tone used is a tone of reminding, inviting, praying, and giving advice. The feelings depicted are fear, sadness, difficulty, regret, and hope. The mandate is that people carry out orders from Allah and stay away from all His prohibitions. The character education values found are religious, honest, hard working, independent, curious, friendly/communicative, socially caring, and responsible. The application of the results of this research on pupujian is suitable as a learning material for listening in junior high schools. Therefore, pupujian has been researched includes the structure and value of character education which is important to carry out in order to preserve literature that is spread in society.
