Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of independent learning resources that can be used to support distance learning during Covid-19 pandemic and on distance learning providers such as Sekolah Terbuka, homeschooling and senior high school that uses reporcal teaching models . This research aims to develop a product of an intertextual-based learning electronic module (e-module) on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution designed to improve student’s conceptual knowledge and science process skills. The research method used refers to Research and Development (R&D) research method by Borg and Gall, through five stages of development, namely: research and information collectin stage, planning stage, develop preliminary form product stage, preliminary field test stage and main product revision stage. The research was carried out at one of the public high schools in Bandung with research participants 5 experts in the field of module substance, instructional, media and linguistics, 10 students and 1 chemistry teacher. Result obtain this research are: 1) The characteristics of the developed e-module linking material content, pedagogics, media and language as a single unit in the e-module 2) The results of the expert assessment show that the developed e-module is feasible based on the substance aspect module, instructional, media and language 3) Result of limited test on 10 students, showed competency improvement in student’s conceptual knowledge and building science process skills after using e-modul. 4) Intertextual-based learning e-module on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution showed students response results obtain with percentage of 88.5% in ‘very good’ category and on the other hand, chemistry teacher response showed percentage 97.14% in ‘very good’ category.
