Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah berbasis permainan tradisional pathilan kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Dilatar belakangi dengan kurangnya pemahaman siswa pada materi perkalian karena pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experiment dengan populasi kelas II SD Negeri 1 Peundeuy dan SD Negeri 3 Peundeuy. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa sampel jenuh melalui rincian kelas II SDN 1 Peundeuy sebanyak 20 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimendan kelas II SDN 3 Peundeuy sebanyak 20 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yaitu 15 soal perkalian yang dilakukan dengan pretest dan post-test. Hasil rata-rata pretest kedua kelas tersebut diketahui kemampuannya sama atau setara. Akan tetapi pada hasil post-test, terdapat perbedaan pada nilai rata-rata kedua kelas tersebut yaitu antara siswa yang menggunakan permainan tradisional pathilan dan siswa yang tidak menggunakan permainan tradisional pathilan. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan hasil analisis uji N-Gain dapat diketahui bahwa kelas eksperimen memperoleh kenaikan sebesar 86% dan termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh kenaikan 51% dan termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu terdapat perbedaan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol serta terbukti bahwa kemampuan siswa pada operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah yang menggunakan permainan tradisional pathilan lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian bilangan cacah siswa yang tidak menggunakan permainan tradisional pathilan. This study aims to describe the increase in the ability of counting operations on multiplication of whole numbers based on the traditional pathilangame for grade II Elementary School. This is motivated by the lack of students' understanding of the multiplication material because the implementation of learning has not achieved the expected results. The research method used is Quasi Experiment with a population of class II SD Negeri 1 Peundeuy and SD Negeri 3 Peundeuy. The sampling technique was a saturated sample through the details of class II SDN 1 Peundeuy as many as 20 students as the experimental class and class II SDN 3 Peundeuy as many as 20 students as the control class. The data collection technique used a test, namely 15 multiplication questions which were carried out with pretest and post-test. The results of the average pretest of the two classes are known to have the same or equivalent ability. However, in the post-test results, there is a difference in the average value of the two classes, namely between students who use the traditional pathilangame and students who do not use the traditional pathilangame. Therefore, based on the results of the N-Gain test analysis, it can be seen that the experimental class gained an increase of 86% and was included in the high category while the control class obtained an increase of 51% and was included in the medium category. Then it can be concluded that there is a difference in the ability to count multiplication of whole numbers between the experimental class and the control class and it is proven that the ability of students in counting operations with multiplication of whole numbers using the traditional Pathilangame is higher than the ability of the operation of counting multiplication of whole numbers on students who do not use traditional games. pathilan.
