Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran besar dalam mengupayakan pembentukan nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa, sehingga kemudian dapat menghasilkan siswa yang berkarakter baik nan mulia. Menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa terutama siswa sekolah dasar merupakan upaya yang tepat karena diusia ini sangat mempengaruhi anak di masa mendatang. Tujuan penelitian ini, adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan kegiatan Upacara Bendera Senin, kemudian menganalisa nilai-nilai karakter yang dibina dalam kegiatan, serta implikasi kegiatan tersebut dalam membina nilai-nilai karakter siswanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas IV-V beserta wali kelasnya, dan kepala sekolah SDN Curug Kota Serang. Dalam pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan observasi, wawancara semistruktur, studi dokumentasi dan kuesioner tertutup. Untuk analisis datanya yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa proses kegiatan upacara pada masa Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas diikuti siswa kelas 4-6 saja, dikarenakan siswa kelas rendah belum bisa menjadi petugas, kemudian sebelum hari pelaksanaan siswa akan dilatih terlebih dahulu oleh wali kelas dan guru yang ahli dibidang Peraturan Baris-Berbaris. Pada hari pelaksanaan, upacara bendera senin dimulai sekitar pukul 07.00 WIB. yang diawali dengan persiapan, kemudian pelaksanaan acara inti sesuai dengan naskah yang dibacakan pembawa acara, dan acara diluar naskah seperti pengumuman peraih prestasi, operasi semut dan mencuci tangan sebelum masuk ke kelas. Hasil analisis pada kegiatan tersebut terdapat 12 nilai karakter. Implikasi kegiatan Upacara Bendera Senin dibuktikan oleh hasil kuesioner yakni siswa yang menjawab tepat sebanyak 93% dan siswa yang menjawab tidak tepat sebanyak 7%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, bahwa Upacara Bendera Senin ini menunjukan implikasi yang signifikan terhadap pembinaan nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Kata kunci : Siswa, Karakter, Upacara Bendera Senin Education has a big role in seeking the formation of character values for students, so that later it can produce students with good and noble character. Instilling character values in students, especially elementary school students, is the right effort because this age greatly affects children in the future. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the process of implementing the Monday Flag Ceremony, then analyze the character values that are fostered in the activity, as well as the implications of these activities in fostering the character values of the students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects in this study were students in grades IV-V along with their homeroom teachers, and the principal of SDN Curug Serang City. In collecting data in this study, researchers conducted observations, semi-structured interviews, documentation studies and closed questionnaires. For data analysis, namely by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this study found that the process of ceremonial activities during the Limited Face-to-Face Learning period was attended by students in grades 4-6 only, because lower grade students could not become officers, then before the day of implementation the students would be trained first by homeroom teachers and teachers who are experts in the field of regulations. On the day of implementation, Monday's flag ceremony begins at around 07.00 WIB. which begins with preparation, then the implementation of the main event according to the script read by the host, and events outside the script such as announcements of achievement winners, ant operations and washing hands before entering class. The results of the analysis in these activities contained 12 character values. The implication of the Monday Flag Ceremony is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire, namely 93% of students who answered correctly and 7% of students who answered incorrectly. So it can be concluded, that Monday's Flag Ceremony shows significant implications for fostering student character values. Keywords : Students, Character, Monday Flag Ceremony
