Abstract

Kemampuan mengenal angka merupakan kemampuan untuk berhitung, mengingat berbagai bentuk angka dan dapat melakukan proses berhitung secara tepat. Pentingnya meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal angka pada anak usia dini adalah agar anak mengetahui dasar–dasar pembelajaran permulaan berhitung pada anak. Dibutuhkan media yang kongkrit untuk membantu proses pembelajaran mengenal angka anak. Melalui penggunaan media maze diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal angka anak usia dini di TK Khalifah 2 Serang. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal angka di TK Khalifah 2 Serang menggunakan media maze. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK Khalifah 2 Serang. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelompok B TK Khalifah 2 Serang yang berjumlah 8 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan mengenal angka, pada pra siklus anak yang kriteria Belum Berkembang (BB) sebanyak 75% dan kriteria Mulai Berkembang (MB) sebanyak 25%. Kemudian pada siklus I persentase meningkat menjadi sebanyak 25% anak termasuk dalam kriteria Mulai Berkembang (MB), dan 75% anak termasuk dalam kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH). Pada siklus II Persentase yang didapat sebanyak 25% anak termasuk dalam kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH), dan 75% anak termasuk dalam kriteria Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB). Pada siklus II indikator keberhasilan tindakan berhasil dicapai yaitu seluruh anak kelompok B TK Khalifah 2 Serang menunjukkan kemampuan mengenal angka pada kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dan Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB). Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media maze dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif media untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal angka anak usia dini. The ability to recognize numbers is the ability of a person to count, remember various forms of numbers and be able to do the counting process correctly. The importance of increasing the ability to recognize numbers in early childhood is so that children know the basics of early learning to count in children. In addition, concrete media is also needed to help the learning process to recognize numbers. Through the use of maze pmedia, it is hoped that it can improve the ability to recognize numbers in early childhood. Media maze is a tracking game that is useful for training children to improve their ability to recognize numbers. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes using maze media to improve the ability to recognize numbers for early childhood in group B TK Khalifah 2 Serang. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with the Kemmis MC Taggart model. This research was conducted in TK Khalifah 2 Serang. The subjects of this study were students of group B TK Khalifah 2 Serang, totaling 8 students. After the research was carried out, it showed an increase in the ability to recognize numbers, in the pre-cycle children whose criteria were not yet developed (BB) were 75% and the criteria were starting to develop (MB) were 25%. Then in the first cycle the percentage increased to as many as 25% of children included in the criteria for starting to develop (MB), and 75% of children included in the criteria for developing according to expectations (BSH). In cycle II, the percentage obtained was 25% of children included in the criteria for developing according to expectations (BSH), and 75% of children included in the criteria for developing very well (BSB). In cycle II, the indicators for the success of the action were achieved, namely all children in group B of TK Khalifah 2 Serang showed the ability to recognize numbers in the categories Developing According to Expectations (BSH) and Very Good Developing (BSB). From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the use of maze media can be a solution to improve the ability to recognize numbers in early childhood.
