Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing topik polimer melalui percobaan salju buatan yang dikembangkan untuk siswa SMA/MA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Educational Design Research dengan subjek penelitian adalah lima belas orang siswa kelas XII di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung, serta dua orang dosen pendidikan kimia FPMIPA UPI, dan tiga orang guru kimia SMA sebagai validator. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah lembar optimasi praktikum, lembar uji kelayakan LKS praktikum, lembar self assessment keterlaksanaan tahapan inkuiri terbimbing, rubrik penilaian jawaban siswa pada LKS, dan lembar respon siswa terhadap praktikum dan LKS praktikum yang dikembangkan. Penyusunan LKS yang dikembangkan dilakukan berdasarkan indikator keterampilan inkuiri dan optimasi praktikum. Optimasi prosedur praktikum menghasilkan variabel optimum praktikum yakni massa natrium poliakrilat sebanyak 2 g, larutan natrium klorida 1,0%, dan larutan natrium bikarbonat 1,0%. Uji kelayakan LKS praktikum oleh dosen dan guru termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase skor pada aspek kesesuaian komponen (98,1%), kesesuaian konsep (93,2%), kesesuaian tata bahasa (95,0%), dan kesesuaian tata letak dan perwajahan (97,0%). Keterlaksanaan tahapan inkuiri terbimbing pada LKS termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik berdasarkan self assessment oleh siswa (91,6%) dan jawaban siswa pada LKS (88,0%). Respon siswa terhadap LKS praktikum dan praktikum menggunakan LKS praktikum termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase skor 89,8% dan 88,7%. This research aims to produce a guided inquiry based student lab worksheet on polymer topics through a fake snow experiment developed for high school students. This research used Educational Design Research with research subjects fifteen students of 12th grade at one of high school in Bandung, as well as two lecturers of chemistry education FPMIPA UPI, and three high school chemistry teachers as validators. The instruments used for this research were optimization of experiment procedure sheet, feasibility test sheet, self-assessment sheet of guided inquiry stages implementation, student answer assessment rubric, and the student response sheet to the developed laboratorium worksheet. The student lab worksheet that was developed was based on indicators of inquiry skills and optimization of experiment procedure. The optimization of the experiment procedure resulted in the optimum experiment variables : 2 g mass of sodium polyacrylate, 1,0% sodium chloride solution, and 1,0% sodium bicarbonate solution. The results of the feasibility test of student lab worksheet by lecturers and teachers were very good with the percentage scores on aspects of component suitability (98.1%), concept suitability (93.2%), grammatical suitability (95,0%), and layout suitability and appearance (97,0%). The learning outcomes to measure the implementation of the guided inquiry stages on student lab worksheet were very good based on the self-assessment by students (91,6%) and students' answers (88,0%). The results of student responses to student lab worksheets and experiment using student lab worksheet were very good with a percentage score 89.8% and 88.7%, respectively.
