Abstract
Kata kunci : MGMP Wilayah, Kompetensi pedagogik, Kompetensi profesional Pembelajaran partisipatif dan Andragogy This research is aimed to develop training programme for chemistry teachers through local area MGMP activities where the participants come from neighboring private and public schools. The activities are conducted independently. MGMP is a professional activity forum for subject matter teachers with the principle “from teachers, by teachers and for teachers”. To develop a training programme for chemistry teachers through MGMP, a research using Research and Development design has been performed in local area MGMP. The training mode was participative learning, based on the andragogy theory and principle. There were 16 chemistry teachers as participants, which consist of 7 public school teachers and 9 private school teachers. The result from qualitative and quantitative analysis, field observation, and questionnaire on the training programme showed that the developed training programme can improve the pedagogic and professional competences of the chemistry teachers in local area MGMP, which covered the comprehension and development of the curriculum, the chemistry concept mastery, the application of methods and approaches, teaching preparation, teaching presentation, and evaluation. The training activity in local area MGMP was responded positively from the participants and they wanted this training programme to be continued frequently because they can discuss about the chemistry teaching problems.
