Abstract

Pada penelitian ini didasari dengan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar. Teams Games Tournament (TGT) bertujuan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran yang akan diterapkan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar dengan memberikan ruang kepada siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuannya melalui permainan turnamen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan memuat aspek pendahuluan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes hasil belajar, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Pasirkaliki Mandiri 1, yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Sebelum dilaksanakan penerapan model TGT siswa mendapati hasil belajar rata-rata 65,62 atau 35%. Saat penerapan model TGT aktivitas guru rata-rata 3,04 atau 85% dan aktivitas siswa rata-rata 21 atau 65,62% pada siklus I, penerapan siklus II aktivitas guru rata-rata 3,08 atau 95%, dan aktivitas siswa rata-rata 28,45 atau 88,75%. Setelah diterapkannya model TGT di siklus I terdapat rata-rata 67,15 atau 45% hal ini belum mencapai target yang diharapkan, dilakukan siklus II rata-rata 80,75 atau 90%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebelum diterapkannya model TGT siswa masih mengalami pemahaman yang rendah sehingga mengakibatkan hasil belajar yang kurang baik, saat diterapkannya model TGT terjadi perkembangan dalam proses aktivitas belajar yang lebih baik serta mampu meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mengajar. Dari aktivitas belajar yang baik, terjadi hasil belajar yang signifikan sesuai dengan target yang diharapkan. Maka, dengan diterapkannya Teams Games Tournament (TGT) mampu memperbaiki hasil belajar siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar. ----- This research is based on the low of students’ learning outcomes ini school studies in elementary school. Teams Games Tournament (TGT) aims as a learning model that will be applied to improve students’ activities and learning outcomes by providing space for students to develop their abilities through tournament games. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of two cycles containing aspects of introduction, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments used in this study are learning outcomes tests, observations of teacher and student activities. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDN Pasirkaliki Mandiri 1, which consisted of 20 students. Before the implementation of the TGT model, students found an average learning outcome of 65.62 or 35%. When applying the TGT model, the average teacher activity is 3.04 or 85% and the student activity is an average of 21 or 65.62% in the first cycle, the implementation of the second cycle is the teacher activity an average of 3.08 or 95%, and the student activity is average. average 28.45 or 88.75%. After the implementation of the TGT model in the first cycle, there was an average of 67.15 or 45%, this has not reached the expected target, in the second cycle an average of 80.75 or 90%. It can be concluded that before the implementation of the TGT model students still experienced low understanding resulting in poor learning outcomes, when the TGT model was applied there was a development in the process of better learning activities and was able to increase teacher creativity in teaching. From good learning activities, there are significant learning outcomes in accordance with the expected targets. So, with the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) it is able to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in elementary schools.
