Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya beberapa permasalahan, diantaranya mengenai rendahnya hasil studi pada bidang sains dan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang variatif pada pembelajaran IPA. Sehingga diperlukan adanya solusi atas permasalahan tersebut. Model pembelajaran mind mapping merupakan model pembelajaran yang menarik dan salah satu solusi yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar kognitif dalam pembelajaran IPA. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa Kelas IV pada pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan metode Pre-eksperimen jenis One Group Pretest Posttest design. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 25 siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan ialah tes soal pilihan ganda dengan indikator soal C1 sampai dengan C6 sebanyak 15 soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: model pembelajaran mind mapping memiliki pengaruh yang baik dengan hasil R square yang menunjukkan angka 0,720 yang artinya bahwa pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran mind mapping adalah sebesar 72%. Sehingga penggunaan model pembelajaran mind mapping berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi. ----- This research is motivated by the existence of several problems, including the low results of studies in the field of science and the use of learning models that are less varied in science learning. So it is necessary to find a solution to this problem. Mind mapping learning model is an interesting learning model and one of the solutions that can affect cognitive learning outcomes in science learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using mind mapping learning models on cognitive learning outcomes of Class IV students in science learning in elementary schools. This study uses a pre-experimental method with the type of One Group Pretest Posttest design. The research subjects were 25 elementary school fourth grade students. The research instrument used was a multiple choice test with 15 questions as indicators of questions C1 to C6. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions were obtained: the mind mapping learning model had a good effect with the R square results showing the number 0.720, which means that the effect of using the mind mapping learning model is 72%. ASo that the use of the mind mapping learning model has an effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes on the material.
