Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis sangat diperlukan oleh siswa untuk mempelajari berbagai konsep matematika yang saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Tanpa kemampuan koneksi matematis ini siswa akan mengalami kesulitan saat pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara luring di SDN 5 Nagrikaler. Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya: 1) Menganalisa dan mengetahui pencapaian serta peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) berbantuan flipbook baik ditinjau secara keseluruhan maupun kelompok KAM (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah); 2) Mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan CPA berbantuan flipbook terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design pada pembelajaran matematika dengan pokok bahasan bangun ruang (kubus dan balok) di kelas V sekolah dasar dengan jumlah subjek 58 siswa. Instrumen tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa digunakan untuk memperoleh data sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan: 1) Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA berbantuan flipbook lebih baik secara signifikan dibandingkan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional baik ditinjau secara keseluruhan maupun kelompok KAM (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah); 2) Terdapat pengaruh antara penerapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA berbantuan flipbook terhadap pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran CPA berbantuan flipbook dapat dijadikan alternatif pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran khususnya dalam pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya direkomendasikan untuk melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan menerapkan pembelajaran CPA berbantuan flipbook untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematis lainnya. ----- The development of mathematical connection ability is one of the important ability for student to learn various mathematical concepts that are interrelated with each other. Without mathematical connection ability, student will difficulties when learning mathematic. This research is was conducted offline at SDN 5 Nagrikaler. The goal of this research are: 1) Analyzing and understanding accomplishement and the escalation of elementary students mathematical connection ability that getting the Concrete-Pictorial Abstract (CPA) approach with the flipbook reviewed as a whole or as a KAM group (high, middle, and low); 2) Understanding the effect of the CPA approach assisted flipbook to the elementary students mathematical way of creative thinking in a mathematic lesson. This research is using the experiment quasi research method with the non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design on a mathematic lesson with the subject is geometry (cube and cuboid) on the 5th year of elementary school with total 58 students. Students mathematical connection ability test instrument are used to gain data before and after the lesson approach. The conclusion based on the result of the research are: 1) Accomplishement and escalation of elementary school students mathematical connection ability that are getting the lesson by the CPA approach with the help of flipbook are significantly better than the elementary students with the conventional approach as a whole or KAM (high, middle and low); 2) There is an effect between the application of studies with the application of CPA approach with the help of flipbook to the students mathematical way of creative thinking accomplishement and escalation. Therefore, getting the lesson by the CPA approach with the help of flipbook can be used as an alternative approach that can be use in learning, especially in achieving and improving students' mathematical connection skills. Further researchers are recommended to conduct similar research by applying flipbook-assisted CPA learning to improve other mathematical abilities.
