Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam pemahaman konsep matematis pada pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model SAVI lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional serta, mengetahui terdapat pengaruh model SAVI terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan bentuk Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control group desain di salah satu SD Negeri Purwakarta. Populasinya siswa-siswi kelas 3 dengan sampel kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol 23. Instrumen penelitian melalui tes uraian. Hasil N-Gain rata – rata peningkatan kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,57 dan kelompok kontrol 0,41. dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model SAVI lebih baik dari pada konvensional. Korelasi model SAVI memiliki hubungan yang kuat (R=0,786). maka nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,617, atau 61,7% artinya terdapat pengaruh model SAVI terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. ----- This research is motivated by the low ability of students in understanding mathematical concepts in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who received learning using the SAVI model was better than students who received conventional learning and to find out that there was an effect of the SAVI model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. This type of quasi-experimental research is in the form of Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control group design in one of the SD Negeri Purwakarta. The population is grade 3 students with a sample of the experimental group and the control group 23. The research instrument is through a description test. The results of the average N-Gain increase in the experimental group is 0.57 and the control group is 0.41. it can be concluded that learning using the SAVI model is better than conventional. SAVI model correlation has a strong relationship (R=0.786). then the value of the coefficient of determination is 0.617, or 61.7%, meaning that there is an effect of the SAVI model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts.
