Abstract

This research is motivated by problems regarding the ability to recognize colors and the limited number of games used in learning, especially to facilitate the ability to recognize colors. The purpose of this research is to develop games to facilitate the ability to recognize colors according to the needs in the field. Based on the findings of the problem in the field, the researchers compiled and designed sonda games to facilitate the ability to recognize colors for children aged 4-5 years. The research method used is the development of the Educational Design Research (EDR) model by McKenney and Reeves. The EDR research procedure has 3 main stages, namely, the analysis and exploration stages; design and construction stage; and the evaluation and reflection phase which ends with the feasibility of the product as the main result of the three stages. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, documentation studies, questionnaires, and expert validation. Expert validation was carried out by material experts, game experts and pedagogic experts. After going through several revisions according to the validator's suggestions, the product was tested twice at TK PGRI 1 and RA Thoriqunnajah. Based on the results of data analysis from product trials, the sondah game to facilitate the ability to recognize colors for children aged 4-5 years has been successfully developed and is suitable for use in learning in Early Childhood Education (PAUD).
