Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses berpikir kritis siswa MTs dalam menyelesaikan masalah ditinjau dari kategori habits of mind, proses berpikir kreatif siswa MTs dalam menyelesaikan masalah ditinjau dari kategori habits of mind dan mengetahui hubungan antara berpikir kritis dan kreatif ditinjau dari habits of mind. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII di salah satu MTs di kota Bandung pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan materi terkait relasi/fungsi dan persamaan garis lurus. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melakukan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis, menyebarkan angket habits of mind, melakukan wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa 1) proses berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis memiliki capaian yang berbeda sesuai dengan karakteristik habits of mind masing-masing siswa, 2) proses berpikir kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah memiliki capaian yang berbeda sesuai dengan karakteristik habits of mind masing-masing siswa, 3) terdapat hubungan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif matematis ditinjau dari habits of mind siswa. This study aims to determine the critical thinking process of MTs students in solving problems in terms of the habits of mind category, the creative thinking processes of MTs students in solving problems in terms of the habits of mind category and knowing the relationship between critical and creative thinking in terms of habits of mind. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in the study were class VIII students at one MTs in Bandung in the 2021/2022 academic year with material related to relations/functions and equations of straight lines. Data collection techniques are to test the ability to think critically and creatively mathematically, distribute a questionnaire on habits of mind, conduct interviews, study documentation and triangulation. The results of the study concluded that 1) students' critical thinking processes in solving mathematical problems had different achievements according to the characteristics of the habits of mind of each student, 2) students' creative thinking processes in solving problems had different achievements according to the characteristics of their respective habits of mind. each student, 3) there is a relationship between critical thinking skills and mathematical creative thinking in terms of students' habits of mind.
