Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul pengaruh penerapan model Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills (Stim-HOTS) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan informasi tentang pengaruh penerapan penerapan model Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills (Stim-HOTS) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-Experiment One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMA kelas X MIPA. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah 10 soal keterampilan berpikir kritis, 15 pernyataan angket respon siswa dan Lembar Observasi keterlaksanaan penerapan model pembelajaran Stim-HOTS. Teknik pengolahan data dan analisisnya menggunakan uji paired sample t test dan perhitungan gain. Berdasarkan instrumen penelitian tersebut didapatkan data hasil penelitian bahwa Pada uji paired sample t test memperoleh hasil nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0.05, sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Stim-HOTS terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data ini didukung oleh hasil perhitungan nilai N-Gain yaitu 0.48 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Kata kunci : Model pembelajaran Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. ABSTRACT This study has entitled the effect of applying the Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills (Stim-HOTS) model to student’s critical thinking skills in environmental change material. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effect of applying the Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills (Stim-HOTS) model to student’s critical thinking skills in environmental change material. The design of this study used a Pre-Experiment One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design with the research subjects being high school students of class X MIPA. The research instrument used was 10 critical thinking skills, 15 student response statements, and Observation Sheets on the implementation of the Stim-HOTS learning model. The data processing and analysis technique use paired sample t-test and gain calculation. Based on the research instrument, the research data obtained that the paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of less than 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is an effect of the Stim-HOTS model on students' critical thinking skills. This data is supported by the results of the calculation of the value of 0.48 which is included in the medium category. Based on the data from the research, it can be said that the Stimulating Higher Order Thinking Skills learning model has an effect on student's critical thinking skills on the material of environmental change.
