Abstract

Panjat Tebing merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang menguji adrenaline. Panjat Tebing di Jawa Barat memiliki potensi yang bisa dikembangkan menjadi destinasi wisata. Wisata Panjat Tebing yang menjadi daya tarik utama yang dimiliki oleh tiga sampel Tebing yang ada di Jawa Barat yakni Tebing 125 di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Tebing Parang di Kabupaten Parang dan Tebing Batu Lawang di Kabupaten Cirebon. Namun wisata panjat tebing di Jawa Barat masih belum dikembangkan dan dimaksimalkan semua potensinya yang ada.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi panjat tebing serta mengidentifikasi karakteristik wisatawan yang mengunjungi daya tarik wisata panjat tebing di Jawa Barat serta Mengidentifikasi objek dan daya tarik wisata panjat tebing yang dapat dikembangkan di Jawa Barat.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel reponden wisatawan dilakukan secara accidental sampling dengan jumlah total 100 orang. Analisis data menggunakan persentase untuk pengukuran identitas wisatawan dan aksesibilitas, skala Likert untuk kelengkapan dan kenyamanan dalam penggunaan fasilitas, dan pengharkatan (skoring) untuk mengetahui kelas potensi dari aspek aksesibilitas, akomodasi, fasilitas, atraksi, dan aktivitas wisata. Hasil pengukuran dan analisis didapat kesimpulan bahwa secara keseluruhan potensi pariwisata di Tebing 125, Tebing Parang, dan tebing Batu Lawang yaitu termasuk kedalam potensi sedang atau cukup mendukung, daya tarik yang cukup menunjang potensi fisik, aksesibilitas dan sarana prasarana yang menunjang terhadap pengembangan wisata minat khusus berdasarkan parameter. Kriteria pengunjung wisata Panjat Tebing termasuk wisatawan minat khusus. Saran untuk pihak pengelola Panjat Tebing di Jawa Barat agar dapat mengembangkan potensi wisata minat khusus seperti memperbaiki dan menambah fasilitas-fasilitas yang ada.

Rock climbing is one of the tourist destinations that challenge our adrenaline. Rock climbing in West Java has great potential that can be developed into tourist destination. Rock Climbing tour which is the main attraction can be found in three cliffs samples in West Java namely 125 cliff in West Bandung Regency, Parang Cliff in Parang Regency and Batu Lawang Cliff in Cirebon Regency. However, the rock-climbing tour in West Java is still not developed and maximized all its potential. This research aims to identify rock climbing potential as well as identify the characteristics of tourists visiting the rock-climbing attraction in West Java and also identify the object and attraction of rock-climbing tourism that can be developed in West Java. This research uses descriptive methods. The tourist respondent sampling is done by accidental sampling with a total of 100 people. Data analysis uses percentages to measure travelers’ identities and accessibility, Likert scales for completeness and comfort in the use of facilities and scoring to know the potential level of accessibility aspects, accommodation, facilities, attractions and tourism activities. The results of measurement and analysis came to the conclusion that the overall potential of tourism in the 125 cliffs, Parang Cliffs, and Batu Lawang Cliffs is included in the potential of moderate or supportive enough, the attraction is quite supportive to support the physical potential, accessibility and infrastructure that encourage the development of special interest tourism based on the parameters. The criteria for visitor of rock-climbing tourism referred to as special interest tourists. Advice to the management of rock climbing in West Java is to be able to develop special interest tourism potential such as improving and adding the existing facilities.
