Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kesadaran siswa SD dan siswa SD tentang materi gizi di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pemahaman siswa terhadap materi gizi dan juga perbedaan pemahaman materi gizi antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan kegiatan pembelajaran, dapat dikatakan berhasil jika siswa dapat memahami dan juga dapat menjawab soal-soal tes yang dilakukan oleh siswa tersebut. Tingkat pemahaman siswa kelas 5 pada Tema 3 materi “Makanan Sehat” meliputi materi tentang nutrisi sumber energi, tentang penyakit yang menyerang organ pencernaan manusia, manfaat buah, vitamin yang terkandung dalam buah, manfaat vitamin dalam tubuh, penggunaan nutrisi dalam tubuh. Dilihat dari hasil soal tes, siswa masih belum memahami gizi, kemudian siswa juga masih belum memahami penyakit pada organ pencernaan. Jika dilihat dari tabel rata-rata siswa putri adalah 49 sedangkan nilai rata-rata siswa laki-laki hanya 36,7 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata pemahaman gizi siswa putri lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki. Hal ini dikarenakan ketika melakukan wawancara dengan guru bahwa nilai pada mata pelajaran lain lebih tinggi untuk siswa perempuan daripada siswa laki-laki. Dengan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan guru dan siswa dapat memperhatikan materi dengan baik selama proses pembelajaran This research is motivated by the lack of awareness of elementary school students and elementary school students on nutrition material in schools. This study was conducted to determine how much students' understanding of nutrition material and also the difference in understanding of nutrition material between male and female students in elementary school. This study used a cross sectional study design. The subjects in this study were students of class V. Based on the results of the discussion of learning activities, it can be said to be successful if students can understand and can also answer the test questions conducted by these students. The level of understanding of grade 5 students in Theme 3 of the material "Healthy Food" includes material on nutritional sources of energy, about diseases that attack the human digestive organs, the benefits of fruit, vitamins contained in fruit, the benefits of vitamins in the body, the use of nutrients in the body. Judging from the results of the test questions, students still do not understand nutrition, then students also still do not understand diseases of the digestive organs. If it is seen from the table that the average female student is 49 while the average score for male students is only 36.7, it can be concluded that the average understanding of nutrition of female students is higher than that of male students. This is because when conducting interviews with teachers that the scores in other subjects are higher for female students than male students. With the results of this study, it is expected that teachers and students can pay attention to the material well during the learning process
