Abstract

Education is a set of systems in which there are several indicators to support the learning process, components in education must be holistic so that the goals in education are achieved properly. In order for active, creative and fun learning to take place, digital media must be used in the learning process such as ebook learning media. The focus of this research is making product development using ebooks to improve the learning understanding of class XI students at SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi regarding human rights material through quasi-experiments, this study uses a mix method approach model of ADDIE research and development development model with data analysis methods descriptive statistics, then in the selection of research classes using the Puspose Sampling technique, for data collection this research uses observation, interviews, questionnaires, pretest-posttest questions and documentation. The results of this study include the significant relationship between ebook learning media on human rights material in increasing students' understanding of the learning process. Learning media products were tested and validated to material experts and media experts, the results of media expert validation were 57% of the criteria were quite feasible after doing the revision stage to 86% the criteria were very feasible, then material experts got 65% the criteria were quite feasible, after doing the revision stage it became 81% the criteria are very feasible, then the product is tested with the results of the Pretest and Posttest test results for the control and experimental class, for the control class it gets 62% then after doing the posttest it becomes 64%, the results increase but there is no significance to increasing students' understanding, then the experimental class 66% but after doing the posttest test, it became 76% so that there was a significant increase in students' understanding of the ebook as an alternative in the learning process. Judging from the description above, it can be explained that actions taken using e-book learning media can improve student achievement.
