Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Latihan Squat Jump menggunakan Ankle Weight terhadap Peningkatan Tinggi Lompatan Atlet Bulutangkis Putri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-post test control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet bulutangkis putri Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa UPI dan Sampel yang peneliti gunakan yaitu 10 orang atlet putri dengan menggunakan pendekatan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur tinggi lompatan adalah tes vertical jump. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan membagi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dengan Squat jump memakai ankle weight dan kelompok kontrol dengan squat jump tanpa ankle weight dan dilakukan pretest, kemudian diberikan treatment, selanjutnya diberikan tes akhir. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis uji perbandingan. Meskipun kedua metode latihan ini memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap tinggi lompatan, akan tetapi metode latihan squat jump menggunakan ankle weight berpengaruh lebih signifikan. kata kunci : ankle weight, bulutangkis, gender, squat jump, tinggi lompatan, vertical jump This study aims to determine the effect of Squat Jump using Ankle Weight on the Increase in Jump Height of Women's Badminton Athletes. The research method used is an experimental method with a pretest-post test control group design. The population in this study were female badminton athletes from the UPI Student Activity Unit and the sample that the researcher used was 10 female athletes using a purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure the height of the jump is the vertical jump. Sampling was done by dividing 2 groups, namely the experimental using ankle weights and the control group with squat jumps without ankle weights and pretest was carried out, then treatment, then a final test was given. The data processing technique was carried out by descriptive statistical analysis and comparative test analysis. Although these two exercise methods have a positive effect on jump height, the squat jump using ankle weights has a more significant effect.
