Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Salah satu kesulitan yang dialami siswa saat menulis teks eksposisi adalah sulit untuk mengembangkan ide atau gagasan. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan tersebut adalah kurangnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan model pembelajaran dapat memengaruhi hasil pembelajaran. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan masih menggunakan model yang konvensional. Penelitian ini menawarkan solusi terhadap kesulitan yang dialami siswa saat menulis teks eksposisi dengan mengembangkan model pembelajaran multiliterasi. Kemudian, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang dapat menguatkan konsep pengetahuan siswa juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa pengembangan model pembelajaran RADEC (read, answer, discuss, explain, dan create) berbantuan media powtoon. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menciptakan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan keadaan pembelajaran siswa saat ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, dan evaluate). Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa desain model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media powtoon dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eskposisi. Desain model ini sudah divalidasi oleh tiga validator ahli dan dua praktisi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Selanjutnya, respons pelibat terhadap produk pembelajaran diberikan kepada 5 guru bahasa Indonesia dan 50 siswa kelas X dari Kota Padangsidimpuan. Hasil respons guru dan siswa terhadap produk pembelajaran masing-masing memperoleh persentase sebesar 91% dan 89%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan respons pelibat dapat diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan media powtoon sangat layak diterapkan. One of the difficulties that students experience when writing exposition texts is that it is difficult to develop ideas or ideas. One of the factors that cause such difficulties is the lack of reading comprehension ability of students. In addition, the use of learning models can affect learning outcomes. Facts on the ground show that the use of the applied learning model still uses the conventional model. This research offers solutions to the difficulties students experience when writing exposition texts by developing a multiliteration learning model. Then, the use of learning media that can strengthen the concept of student knowledge can also improve student learning outcomes. The solution offered is in the form of developing a RADEC learning model (read, answer, discuss, explain, and create) assisted by powtoon media. The purpose of this study is to create a learning model that is in accordance with the current state of student learning. The method used in this study is a research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluate). The results of this research and development are in the form of a RADEC learning model design assisted by powtoon media in learning to write eskposition texts. The design of this model has been validated by three expert validators and two Indonesian learning practitioners. Furthermore, a medical response to the learning product was given to 5 Indonesian teachers and 50 class X students from Padangsidimpuan City. The results of the response of teachers and students to learning products obtained percentages of 91% and 89%, respectively. Based on the validation results and the respons, it can be seen that the RADEC learning model assisted by powtoon media is very feasible to be applied.
