Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan apresiasi dongeng siswa di kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung taun ajaran 2021/2022 sebelum menggunakan media animasi 2D, (2) kemampuan apresiasi dongeng siswa di kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung taun ajaran 2021/2022 sesudah menggunakan media animasi 2D, (3) perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan apresiasi dongeng siswa di kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung taun ajaran 2021/2022 sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media animasi 2D. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pre-test jeung post-test. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik tes dalam bentuk uraian (essay) pada siswa kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung yang jumlahnya 28 siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan, rata-rata nilai setelah menggunakan media animasi 2D sebesar (51) yang membuktikan bahwa siswa belum mampu apresiasi dongeng dengan baik, sedangkeun rata-rata nilai setelah menggunakan media animasi 2D sebesar (77) yang membuktikan bahwa siswa mampu dalam apresiasi dongeng dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistic non-parametrik nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,5 atau kurang dari 0,5. Oleh karena itu H₁ diterima atau Hₒ ditolak. Artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan apresiasi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media animasi 2D. Berdasarkan hasil akhir penelitian, bisa disimpulkan bahwa media animasi 2D bisa meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi dongeng siswa kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. The background of this research is the lack of students' ability in learning to listen to fairy tales. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the ability to appreciate fairy tales of students in class VII-E of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung academic year 2021/2022 before using media 2D animation, (2) the ability to appreciate fairy tales of students in class VII-E of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung academic year 2021/2022 after using media 2D animation, (3) significant differences between students' ability to appreciate fairy tales in class VII-E SMP Negeri 40 Bandung academic year 2021/2022 before and after using media 2D animation. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method using a pre-test jeung post-test design. The technique used is a test technique in the form of an essay on class VII-E students of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung, totaling 28 students. Based on the research results, the average score after using 2D animation media is (51) which proves that students have not been able to appreciate fairy tales well, while the average score after using 2D animation media is (77) which proves that students are able to appreciate fairy tales well. Based on the results of non-parametric statistical tests the Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.5 or less than 0.5. Therefore H₁ is accepted or Hₒ is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between appreciation skills before and after using media 2D animation. Based on the final results of the study, it can be concluded that media 2D animation can improve fairy tales appreciation skill for class VII-E students of SMP Negeri 40 Bandung academic year 2021/2022.
