Abstract

ASBTRAK Penelitian mengenai analisis muatan budaya dalam buku teks bahasa Korea di Indonesia masih jarang. Sehingga penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengisi rumpang tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi muatan budaya yang direpresentasikan melalui jenis dan tema budaya dalam buku Bahasa Korea Terpadu untuk Orang Indonesia tingkat madya. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pemberian kode pada teks. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah teks pada rubrik kebudayaan. Penelitian ini menemukan jenis budaya yang direpresentasikan adalah Budaya Target (C2) saja. Sementara teks bermuatan Budaya Asal (C1) dan Budaya Internasional (C3) tidak ditemukan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa buku teks belum sepenuhnya mendukung kesadaran lintas budaya pelajar karena konten budaya yang kurang beragam. Tema budaya paling dominan direpresentasikan adalah Budaya Tradisional (전통문화) dan Budaya Kelembagaan (제도문화). Setelah itu diikuti oleh Budaya Kehidupan (생활문화) dan Budaya Bahasa (언어문화). Teks dengan tema Budaya Seni (예술문화) paling sedikit ditemukan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa buku teks sudah mendukung keterampilan komunikasi pelajar berdasarkan tema budaya yang direpresentasikan dan sesuai dengan tingkat kemahiran. Kata Kunci: analisis buku teks, kesadaran lintas budaya, representasi budaya ABSTRACT Research on the analysis of cultural content in Korean as Foreign Language (KFL) textbooks in Indonesia is still scarce. This research tries to fill the gap. This study aims to identify the cultural content particularly the types of cultures and cultural themes in an intermediate-level KFL textbook for Indonesian learners. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. Two KFL textbooks for Indonesians were analyzed by using coding technique. This study found that the predominant type of culture in the textbook was the Target Culture (C2). Meanwhile, the Source Culture (C1) and the International Culture (C3) were not dominantly found. This finding further indicated that the textbooks had not fully promoted students’ intercultural awareness due to lack of diverse cultural contents. The predominant themes in the textbook were Traditional Culture (전통문화) and Institutional Culture (제도문화), followed by Living Culture (생활문화) and Language Culture (언어문화). The Art Culture (예술문화) was found the least. The findings imply that the textbook promotes students’ communication skills, based on the cultural themes represented and according to the level of proficiency.
