Abstract

Bencana gempa bumi di Lombok berdampak pada kerugian material hingga hilangnya nyawa manusia. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kajian gempa tahun 2018 lalu yang telah menyebabkan lumpuhnya perekonomian masyarakat, terganggunya tatanan kehidupan, traumatis yang berkepanjangan dan rusaknya infrastruktur. Merujuk pada peristiwa gempa tersebut, siswa merupakan usia yang paling rentan terhadap risiko menjadi korban, karena itu harus diminimalisir dengan strategi mendesain model kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi dengan memasukkan konten kesiapsiagaan kedalam pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan dalam penelitian dan desain ini adalah untuk mengetahui perlunya kesiapsiagaan, kondisi objektif, desain empiris dan efektivitas penggunaan model terhadap kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Desain (R&D), pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, wawancara, angket dan tes pada siswa di 6 SMP negeri dan swasta di Lombok Utara serta validasi model dengan melibatkan para pakar dan praktisi pendidikan. Penelitian dan desain model mengikuti tahapan pendahuluan, desain model, validasi internal, validasi empiris dan model tervalidasi. Tahap ini dijalankan secara prosedural dan komprehensif sehingga menghasilkan sebuah model kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi yang dapat dipertanggunjawabkan secara metodologik dan akademik. Hasil riset terhadap keterlaksanaan model, secara kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa model ini mempunyai efektivitas dalam memberdayakan siswa untuk mengetahui, memahami, menyikapi serta tindakan siaga bencana. Diperkuat oleh hasil analisis kuantitatif pada saat uji coba terbatas dengan nilai tes performa siswa rata-rata sebesar 52,43 namun setelah penggunaan model ini nilai tes performa siswa meningkat sebesar 30,27 poin menjadi 82,70, sementara itu saat uji coba luas nilai tes performa siswa rata-rata sebesar 54,30 namun setelah penggunaan model nilai tes performa siswa meningkat sebesar 31.80 poin menjadi 86,11. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model ini mempunyai efektivitas signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan terhadap gempa. Hasil penelitian juga menegaskan dan menjawab bahwa model ini merupakan produk inovatif yang dapat berkontribusi positif bagi desain, penguatan teoritis pada konsep dan praksis pembelajaran IPS. Oleh karena itu maka sangat perlu pelembagaan, keterlibatan guru IPS dan memberdayakan kesiapsiagaan siswa yang didukung dengan tingkat simulasi, evaluasi, monitoring, bimbingan serius, pembinaan dan pelatihan yang dilakukan secara berkala serta terjadwal dengan baik. This can be seen from the study of the 2018 earthquake which caused the community's economy to cripple, disrupt the order of life, prolonged trauma and damage to infrastructure. Referring to the earthquake event, students are the age most vulnerable to the risk of becoming victims, therefore it must be minimized by a strategy of designing an earthquake disaster preparedness model by incorporating preparedness content into social studies learning. The purpose of this research and design is to determine the need for preparedness, objective conditions, empirical design and the effectiveness of using the model for earthquake disaster preparedness. The research method used is the Research and Design (R&D) method, collecting data using documentation, interviews, questionnaires and tests on students in 6 public and private junior high schools in North Lombok as well as model validation by involving education experts and practitioners. Research and model design follow the preliminary stages, model design, internal validation, empirical validation and validated models. This stage is carried out procedurally and comprehensively so as to produce an earthquake disaster preparedness model that can be accounted for methodologically and academically. The results of research on the implementation of the model, qualitatively indicate that this model has effectiveness in empowering students to know, understand, respond and act on disaster preparedness. Reinforced by the results of quantitative analysis during a limited trial with an average student performance test score of 52.43 but after using this model the student's performance test score increased by 30.27 points to 82.70, meanwhile during the broad test the test score The average student performance was 54.30 but after using the model, the student's performance test scores increased by 31.80 points to 86.11. Thus, it can be concluded that this model has significant effectiveness in increasing earthquake preparedness. The results of the study also confirm and answer that this model is an innovative product that can contribute positively to design, theoretical strengthening of social studies learning concepts and practices. Therefore, it is very necessary to institutionalize, involve social studies teachers and empower student preparedness which must be supported by the level of simulation, evaluation, monitoring, serious guidance, coaching and training that is carried out regularly and well scheduled.
