Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini didasarkan atas adanya masalah peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir. Kondisi ekonomi masyarakat di pesisir yang sangat rendah akibat dari adanya permasalahan dinamika wilayah pesisir, yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat di pesisir Desa Segarajaya. Dinamika pesisir yang terjadi ketika kondisi pasang air laut, ketinggian ombak bisa mencapai 1 hingga 2 meter dengan radius 500 meter. Selain itu masalah abrasi dan industri PLTU yang berada tepat di pesisir pun semakin menambah penderitaan bagi perekonomian masyarakat di pesisir. Melalui ekosistem mangrove yang berada di pesisir diharapkan masyarakat mampu mengoptimalkan dari fungsinya dengan baik tanpa harus merusak ekosistem mangrove. Selain mempunyai fungsi ekologis bagi pesisir, mangrove pun memiliki fungsi ekonomi yang dapat dijadikan destinasi wisata pesisir dan dapat pula dijadikan sebuah produk makanan olahan yang dapat dikonsumsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kesejahteraan sekaligus tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat pesisir terhadap upaya rehabilitasi di kawasan mangrove, diharapkan pula masyarakat di sekitar pesisir dapat ikut berkontribusi menjaga kelestarian dan memanfaatkan dengan baik kawasan mangrove di Desa Segarajaya sebagai tambahan perekonomian masyarakat pesisir, terkhusus pada kawasan di pesisir Ekowisata Jembatan Cinta. Melalui tujuan yang diinginkan, diharapkan akan mampu memberikan peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi sebagai langkah upaya meningkatkan perekonomian di wilayah pesisir melalui produk olahan mangrove. Metode pelaksanaan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitif dengan desain analisis deskriptif dan pendekatan yang akan digunakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan survey kepada masyarakat di pesisir. Metode lain yang bisa digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) dan didukung pula dengan metode wawancara langsung kepada nelayan, pemilik tambak dan pemancing ikan di daerah pesisir sekitar mangrove. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa produk olahan khas Kue Pie Buah Mangrove terbukti bisa meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan keterampilan sumber daya manusia di desa pesisir. Dari hasil akhir data penelitian ini dapat juga dijadikan bahan pengetahuan untuk masyarakat dalam mengimplementasikan edukasi yang telah diberikan dalam sehari-hari, terhadap upaya kegiatan konservasi ekosistem mangrove di pesisir yang memiliki begitu banyak manfaat dari segi hal ekonomi maupun lingkungan sekitar bagi masyarakat pesisir Desa Segarajaya dalam menghadapi dinamika wilayah pesisir yang terjadi. The economic condition of the people on the coast is very low due to the dynamics of the coastal area, which is faced by the people on the coast of Segarajaya Village. Coastal dynamics that occur during high tide conditions, wave heights can reach 1 to 2 meters with a radius of 500 meters. In addition, the problem of abrasion and the PLTU industry which is right on the coast is also adding to the suffering for the economy of the people on the coast. Through the mangrove ecosystem located on the coast, it is hoped that the community will be able to optimize its function properly without having to damage the mangrove ecosystem. In addition to having an ecological function for the coast, mangroves also have an economic function that can be used as a coastal tourist destination and can also be used as a processed food product that can be consumed. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in welfare as well as the level of knowledge of coastal communities on rehabilitation efforts in the mangrove area, it is also hoped that the community around the coast can contribute to preserving and making good use of the mangrove area in Segarajaya Village as an additional economic supplement for coastal communities, especially in areas in Coastal Ecotourism Bridge of Love. Through the desired goal, it is hoped that it will be able to provide an increase in economic welfare as an effort to improve the economy in coastal areas through processed mangrove products. The implementation method in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive analysis design and the approach that will be used is a survey approach to coastal communities. Another method that can be used is the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method and is also supported by direct interviews with fishermen, pond owners and anglers in coastal areas around mangroves. The results of this study indicate that the typical processed product of the mangrove Pie is proven to improve the welfare and skills of human resources in coastal villages. From the final results of this research data, it can also be used as knowledge material for the community in implementing the education that has been given on a daily basis, on the efforts to conserve mangrove ecosystems on the coast which have so many benefits in terms of economics and the surrounding environment for the coastal community of Segarajaya Village in face the dynamics of the coastal area that occurs.
