Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemasaran, research and development (R&D) , dan capital expenditure terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2014-2020. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan memperoleh sampel perusahaan berjumlah 7 dari 26 perusahaan sektor makanan dan minuman. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kausal untuk menguji apakah variabel dapat menyebabkan perubahan pada variabel lainnya. Data pada penelitian ini terdiri dari total penjualan, laba bersih, beban iklan dan promosi, total aset tetap, beban (R&D), kapitalisasi pasar, total aset, dan total hutang. Pemasaran diukur dengan indikator ROI Marketing, lalu R&D diukur dengan rasio R&D Intensity, dan capita expenditure diukur dengan Capex. Penelitian ini menggunakan 49 pengamatan yang mana sampel dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji asumsi klasik. Penelitian mengungkap adanya pengaruh positif signifikan R&D terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Sedangkan pemasaran dan capital expenditure secara parsial tidak berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. This study aims to determine the effect of marketing, research and development (R&D), and capital expenditure on firm performance in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2020 period. The sample selection used purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 7 companies from 26 companies in the food and beverage sector. The research design uses a causal approach to test whether a variable can cause changes in other variables. The data in this study consist of total sales, net income, advertising and promotion expenses, total fixed assets, expenses (R&D), market capitalization, total assets, and total debt. Marketing is measured by the Marketing ROI indicator, then R&D is measured by the R&D Intensity ratio, and capital expenditure is measured by Capex. This study uses 49 observations in which the sample is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the classical assumption test first. Research reveals that there is a positive influence of R&D on firm performance. meanwhile marketing and capital expenditure partially have no significant positive effect on firm performance.
