Abstract

GAMBARAN PERSEPSI ORANG TUA TERHADAP ANAK PRASEKOLAH DALAM PENGGUNAAN GADGET Resida¹, Ahmad Purnama H², Rafika Rosyda² ¹Mahasiswa Prodi D-3 Keperawatan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ²´³ Dosen Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Perkembangan teknologi dunia semakin canggih, maju dan berkembang pesat. Teknologi yang sudah banyak dikenal di Indonesia salah satunya adalah gadget. Kurangnya pemahaman atau persepsi orang tua dalam mengawasi serta meperhatikan anak usia prasekolah ketika menggunakan atau bermain gadget akan terkesan membiarkan anak yang akhirnya akan mengakibatkan dampak yang kurang baik apalagi jika penggunaan gadget melebihi dari waktu yang diperbolehkan. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi orang tua terhadap anak prasekolah dalam penggunaan gadget di TK/RA/KOBER wilayah Desa Ciherang. Metode Penelitian: Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling dan didapat besar sampel sebanyak 129 orang dari total populasi 189 orang. Cara pengumpulan data yaitu dengan angket dan analisisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gambaran persepsi orang tua terhadap anak prasekolah dalam penggunaan gadget yaitu sebagian kecil dengan kategori sangat baik sebanyak 18 responden (14%), sebagian besar baik sebanyak 68 responden (53%), hampir setengahnya cukup baik sebanyak 43 responden (33%). Adapun hasil penelitian dari keempat indikator persepsi yaitu pemahaman orang tua terhadap gadget setengahnya baik sebanyak 64 responden (50%), tanggapan orang tua terhadap dampak positif serta negatif anak prasekolah terkait penggunaan gadget sebagian besar baik sebanyak 65 responden (51%), sikap orang tua terhadap anak prasekolah dalam penggunaan gadget sebagian besar cukup baik sebanyak 75 responden (58%), dan sikap dalam upaya pengontrolan orang tua terhadap anak prasekolah dalam penggunaan gadget hampir seluruhnya baik sebanyak 112 responden (87%). One of the technologies that are widely known in Indonesia is gadgets. The lack of understanding or perception of parents in supervising and paying attention to preschool-age children when using or playing gadgets will seem to let children which will eventually result in a bad impact, especially if the use of gadgets exceeds the allowed time. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the picture of parents’ perception of preschool children in the use of gadgets in TK/RA/KOBER in the Ciherang Vilage area. Research Methods: The design of this study was descriptive quantitative, used simple random sampling and obtained 129 subject from 189. Data collected by questionnaires and data analysis using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the picture of parents’ perceptions of preschoolers in the use of gadgets was a small part with an excellent category of 18 respondents (14%), most of them were good as many as 68 respondents (53%), almost half were quite good as many as 43 respondents (33%). The result of the study from the four perception indicators, namely parents’ understanding of gadgets, were half good as many as 64 respondents (50%), parents’ responses to the positive and negative impacts of preschoolers related to gadget use were mostly good as many as 65 respondents (51%), parents’ attitudes towards preschoolers in the use of gadget were mostly quite good as many as 75 respondents (58%) and attitudes in efforts to control parents towards preschoolers in the use of gadgets were almost entirely good as many as 112 respondents (87%).
