Abstract

ABSTRAK Saat ini, perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat membuat hampir setiap bidang kehidupan manusia tidak terlepas dari penggunaannya. Salah satu teknologi yang selalu berkembang saat ini yaitu pada teknologi smartphone. Dengan kelengkapan fitur yang dimiliki oleh smartphone menjadikan smartphone sebagai alat yang membuat orang menjadi ketergantungan terhadap smartphone. Perilaku yang ditimbulkan dari ketergantungan terhadap smartphone sering disebut dengan istilah Phubbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku phubbing pada siswa; faktor-faktor pendorong perilaku phubbing pada siswa; pola interaksi sosial siswa akibat perilaku phubbing; serta upaya untuk mencegah dan mengatasi perilaku phubbing pada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Temuan hasil penelitiannya adalah: (1) Gambaran perilaku phubbing siswa menunjukan bahwa terdapat siswa yang terindikasi berperilaku phubbing; (2) Faktor pendorong perilaku phubbing pada siswa yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal; (3) Pola interaksi yang sosial siswa akibat perilaku phubbing mengakibatkan terjadinya miss komunikasi diantara mereka; (4) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam mengkontrol perilaku phubbing pada siswa, yaitu melalui upaya preventif serta upaya represif. Kata Kunci: Interaksi Sosial, Perilaku Phubbing, Siswa ABSTRACT Today, the rapid development of technology makes almost every field of human life can not be separated from its use. One technology that is always developing today is the smartphone technology. With the completeness of features possessed by smartphones makes smartphones as a tool that makes people dependent on smartphones. Behavior arising from dependence on smartphones is often referred to as Phubbing. This study aims to determine the description of the behavior of phubbing in students; factors driving phubbing behavior in students; patterns of student social interaction due to phubbing behavior; as well as efforts to prevent and overcome phubbing behavior in students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are done by observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. The findings of the research are: (1) The description of students' phubbing behavior shows that there are students who are indicated to behave phubbing; (2) Factors driving the behavior of phubbing in students are internal factors and external factors; (3) The social interaction patterns of students due to phubbing behavior results in a miss communication between them; (4) Efforts made in controlling the behavior of phubbing in students, namely through preventive efforts and repressive efforts.
