Abstract
ktualisasikan dan mengembangkan kompetensi profesional. Tanpa didasan oleh kompetensi profesional yang memadai kecil kemungkinan bagi guru untuk tampil profesional dalam malaksanakan tugasnya. Oleh karena itu, aktualisasi dan pengembangan kompetensi profesional akan menjadi bagian penting dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Melalui penelitian ini akan dikaji berbagai upaya pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru dalam meningkatkan kinerjanya Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada SMK Negeri 1Subang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Metode kuantitatif diterapkan dengan mengukur persepsi guru terhadap upaya peningkatan kompetensi profesional dan mengukur kinerja pemelajaran yang diwujudkan melalui aktualisasi kompetensi profesional guru. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan dianahsis menggunakan pendekatan statistik deskriptif serta perhitungan koefisien korelasi. Sampel yang menjadi sasaran penelitian ini adalah 27 orang guru SMK Negeri 1Subang. Pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru dikaji dengan mengungkap aspek-sapek yaitu: (1) pendidikan dan pelatihan, (2) pengelolaan kinerja, (3) pengembangan karir, (4) pengembangan disiplin dan semangat kerja, dan (5) peningkatan kesejahteraan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh temuan bahwa makin positif persepsi guru terhadap upaya pengembangan kompetensi profesinal guru maka makin tinggi kinerja pemelajaran guru. Dengan kata lain, kinerja pemelajaran sebagai aktualisasi kompetensi profesional dapat ditingkatkan dengan memperbaiki upaya pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru. Pengembangan kopetensi profesional guru pada SMK Negeri 1Subang dapat dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah berikut: (1) penyediaan program diklat yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya; (2) pengelolaan kinerja yang didasarkan atas penilaian prestasi kerja guru yang obyektif (3) pengembangan karir yang didasarkan atas kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan tugas, (4) pembinaan disiplin dan semangat kerja agar guru bekerja lebih baik dan terdorong untuk menunjukkan hasil kerja yang baik; serta (5) peningkatan kesejahteraan yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengoptimalkan sumber dana dana yang ada baik itu untuk meningkatkan pendapatan atau membenkan dukungan pada upaya peningkatan kompetensi profesionalnya. ----- As a holding professional position, teacher is qualified to actualize and to develop the professional competence. Without constituted by adequate professional competence, it is the little possibility to all teachers to come up the professional in executing its duty. Therefore, actualization and professional competence development will become the important part in education management. Through this research various professional interest development efforts in improving its performance will be learnt. This research is executed on SMK Negeri 1 Subang. The research method that is used is a quantitative descriptive method with the correlation approach. Quantitative method applied by measuring teacher perception to professional competence improvement and the study performance realized through actualization professional competence ofthe teacher. Quantitative data is obtained through questionnaire and analyzed using the descriptive statistical approach and also correlation coefficient calculation. Sample becoming target in this research are 27 the teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Subang. Teacher's professional competence development is studied by expressing such aspects are : (1) education and training, (2) performance management, (3) career development, (4) discipline and spirit job development, and (5) prosperity improvement. According to the result of data analyses found that the more positive ofteacher perception to professional competence development effort, the higher study performance of the teacher will be. In other words, study performance as professional competence actualization can be increased by improving professional competence development effort ofthe teacher. Professional competence development of the teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Subang can be executed through the following stages ; (1) providing the education and training program appropriates with the teacher's need in executing its duty; (2) performance management based on objective assessment of teacher achievement; (3) career development bases on the teacher's ability in executing the duty; (4) discipline construction and job spirit so that the teacher can work better and shows good result ofjob; and also (5) prosperity improvement which can be conducted by optimizing the existing source of fund both to increase earnings and to support to its professional competence development as well.
