Abstract

Adanya varian baru Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) degan varian B. 1. 1. 529 pertama kali ditemukan di Benua Afrika dan sudah terdeteksi di berbagai negara termasuk di Indonesia. Varian terbaru COVID-19 diketahui bernama Omicron. Mahasiswa dapat menjadi role of model di masyarakat dengan menunjukan perilaku dalam pencegahan COVID-19. Dengan memiliki pengetahuan yang baik serta sikap yang positif di lingkungan masyarakat dapat membantu dalam pencegahan COVID-19. Berdasarkan ilmu dan pengetahuanya mahasiswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu mahasiswa kesehatan dan mahasiswa non kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan pencegahan penularan COVID-19 Omicron pada mahasiswa kesehatan dan non kesehatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif komparatif. Dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 105 partisipan terdiri dari 59 mahasiswa kesehatan dan 46 mahasiswa non kesehatan pengambilan sampel disesuaikan dengan kriteria inklusi. Hasil pada penelitian ini tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat pengetahuan pencegahan penularan COVID-19 Omicron pada mahasiswa kesehatan dan non kesehatan dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,90 > 0,05 artinya HO diterima. There is a new variant of Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) with variant B. 1. 1.529 was first discovered on the African continent and has been detected in various countries including Indonesia. The latest variant of COVID-19 is known as Omicron. Students can become role models in society by showing behavior in preventing COVID-19. Having good knowledge and a positive attitude in the community can help in preventing COVID-19. Based on their knowledge and knowledge, students are divided into two groups, namely health students and non-health students. This study aims to describe the different levels of knowledge on preventing transmission of COVID-19 Omicron in health and non-health students. This type of research is comparative quantitative. In this study involved 105 participants consisting of 59 health students and 46 non-health students taking samples according to the inclusion criteria. The results in this study did not show a significant difference in the level of knowledge on preventing transmission of COVID-19 Omicron in health and non-health students with a sig. (2-tailed) 0.90 > 0.05 means that HO is accepted.
