Abstract

Higher-order thinking is a skill that humans need in the 21st century, so this ability is important to be trained on students. However, not all learning can practice these skills well, one of which is in learning the material for accelerated uniform rectilinear motion. This study aims to develop an open student worksheet oriented to higher order thinking skills in learning of accelerated uniform rectilinear motion at the high school. This study uses an R & D research design with 7 stages. The 7 stages consist of potential and problem stages, data collection, product design, design validation, design trials, product trials, and product revisions. The research instrument used consisted of open ended student worksheet needs analysis sheets, Open ended student worksheet validation sheets consisting of content validity which refers to the components of teaching materials based on the Ministry of National Education and construct validity which refers to problem openness and higher-order thinking skills, student response sheets, and developed open ended student worksheet. The data from the validation results were processed using the percentage equation and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of content validity and construct validity have the same percentage of 94% (very valid). The average value of students in a limited trial at one high school in Bogor City was 62. In addition, this open student worksheet received a positive response from students. Thus, the open student worksheet oriented to higher order thinking skills in learning of accelerated uniform rectilinear motion at the high school can be used as an alternative to practice higher-order thinking skills.
