Abstract
Citra Abadiah Magdela. 2014. Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Broken Triangle/Square/Heart Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Pada Mata Pelajaran Pkn Mengingat Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan mata pelajaran yang syarat akan konsep, maka guru PKn sudah seharusnya dapat membelajarkan siswa secara aktif, kreatif dan inovatif, agar semua konsep dan informasi yang disampaikan kepada murid dapat dipahami dengan sebaik-baiknya. Cara yang dapat digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep PKn adalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) memperoleh gambaran tentang hasil tes awal (pre- test) pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, 2) mengetahui hasil test akhir (post-test) pada kelas eksprimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran broken triangle/square/heart dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional, 3) menguji tingkat pemahaman siswa antara kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart dengan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional, dan 4) mengetahui persepsi siswa SMPN 1 Binong terhadap pelaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart pada mata pelajaran PKn. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode Kuasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan design pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah tes, angket. observasi, studi dokumentasi dan studi litelatur. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP N 1 Binong Kab. Subang tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh penulis yaitu: 1) rata–rata skor hasil tes awal (pre test) kelas eksperimen sebesar 15.08 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 14.33. 2) Pada kelas eksperimen skor tes akhir yang diperoleh lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol, kelas eksperimen mendapatkan rata-rata skor sebesar 21.82 sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan rata-rata skor sebesar 17.44. 3) berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, telah ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep materi PKn antara kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart dengan kelas yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart. 4) hampir seluruh siswa memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap pembelajaran PKn yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe broken triangle/square/heart. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif ABSTRACT: Considering the civic education as the subject requisiting the concepts, the teachersof civic subject should have been able to teach their students actively, creatively, and innovatively, so that all of the concetps and informations presented to the students could be understood as well as possible. The way that could be used by teachers to improve students’ comprehension of civic subject was using cooperative learning model typebroken triangle/square/heart. This study aims to 1) gain an overview of pre-test result in experiment class and control class, 2) find out the post-test result in experiment class using learning model of broken triangle/square/heart, and control class using conventional learning method, 3) examine the level of student comprehension between experiment group using cooperative learning model type broken triangle/square/heart and control group using conventional learning method, and 4) find out the students perceptionof SMP N 1 Binong toward the implementation of cooperative learning model type broken triangle/square/heart in civic subject. The Quasy Experiment method was used in this study with pretest-posttest control group design. The data collection techniques were test, questionnaire, observation, documentation study, and literature study. Then, analysis techniques of the data was validity test, reliability test, normality test, homogenity tets, and hypothetical test. The subject in this study were the students of SMP N 1 Binong Subang year 2013/2014, which class VII A as the experiment class and class VII B as the control class. The study results showed that 1) the averagescore of pre-test was 15,08in experiment classand 14,33 in control class, 2) the average score of post-test in experiment class was 21,82, larger than in control class which the average score was 17,44. 3) according to hypothetical test, it was found that there were signficant differences in students comprehension of civic concepts between the class that implementcooperative learning model type broken triangle/square/heart and the class that didn’t, 4) almost all of the students gave positive reaction toward the implementation of cooperative learning model type broken triangle/square/heart in civic subject. According to the study results, the conclusion was the cooperative learning model type broken triangle/square/heart could improve the comprehension of civic concepts, therefore it was recommended to implement this model in civic education.
