Abstract

ABSTRAK PENERAPAN MODEL PICTURE AND PICTURE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PELAJARAN IPS MATERI JENIS PEKERJAAN (PTK di Kelas IV SDN Waringinjaya 03 Kecamatan Kedungwaringin Kabupaten Bekasi) Nadiyatul Munawaroh Program Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Kampus Serang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Hal yang mendasari penelitian ini yaikni dimana saat dilaksanakan belajar di kelas masih berorientasi kepada guru (teacher centered learning), guru lebih banyak menjelaskan materi kepada siswa dan setelah itu memberikan tugas untuk dikerjakan agar mereka tidak banyak berbicara dan berkeliaran didalam kelas. Hal tersebut akan membuat anak lebih pasif saat belajar di kelas. Keterbatasan pengetahuan yang dimiliki guru mengenai model pembelajaran di kelas menjadi faktor utama, sehingga menyebabkan guru sulit menciptakan pembelajaran yang menarik dan melibatkan aktivitas murid. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini hendak mengulas penggunaan model picture and picture selama proses pembelajaran IPS demi mengembangkan aktivitas dan minat belajar siswa. Desain penelitian yang dipakai selama penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis&MC Taggart. Penelitian ini berlangsung mulai dari tahap pra tindakan dan tahap pelaksanaan tindakan yaitu siklus I dan siklus II yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian, peneliti memakai teknik observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Data yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil persentase tingkat aktivitas siswa pada siklus I yaitu 49,9 % juga siklus II mendapati kenaikan 79,1% dengan kategori sangat aktif. Sedangkan persentase minat belajar murid selama siklus I yaitu 49,1% juga selama siklus II mendapati kenaikan 88,3% dengan kategori sangat minat. Sehingga pada penelitian ini peneliti simpulkan bahwasanya pemakaian model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap mata pelajaran IPS mendapati kenaikan aktivitas juga minat belajar siswa kelas IV. This will make the child more passive when learning in the classroom. Limited knowledge that teachers have becomes a major factor, making it difficult for teachers to create interesting learning and invove student activities. Therefore, this study wants to review the use of picture and picture models during the IPS learning process to develop students’ learning activities and interests. The research design used during this study uses the Kemmis&MC. Taggart Class Action Research (PTK) method. This research takes place starting from the pre-action stage and the stage of implementation of action, namely cycle I and cycle II which consists of 4 stages, namely the stage of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. To obtain data in the study, researchers used observation techniques, interviews, tests and documentation. Data found based on the result of the percentage of student activity levels during cycle I which is 49,9% also during cycle II, there was an increase of 88,3% with the category of interest. So in this study researchers concluded that the use of picture and picture learning models on IPS subjects found an increase in activity as well as the learning interests of grade IV students.
