Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh nilai disiplin yang dapat di internalisasikan melalui proses pembelajaran IPA di sekolah. Hal ini sejalan dengan visi dan misi Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur yaitu terwujudnya siswa yang islami, cerdas, terampil, disiplin dan berprestasi. Hal inilah yang mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian studi deskriptif di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana perencanaan, proses, evaluasi dan kendala yang dialami dalam internalisasi nilai disiplin melalui pembelajaran IPA untuk membentuk karakter baik siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi terkait pelaksanaan internalisasi nilai disiplin melalui pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Madrasah Bidang Kurikulum, guru mata pelajaran IPA, dan siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Objek penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran IPA. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode triangulasi data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verivikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru menginternalisasikan nilai disiplin melalui pembelajaran IPA dalam membentuk karakter baik siswa. Strategi yang digunakan yaitu melalui metode keteladanan, pembiasaan dan pendekatan pembelajaran terpadu. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran, internalisasi nilai disiplin muncul dalam setiap kegiatan pembelajaran meliputi : kegiatan pendahuluan, inti dan penutup. Internalisasi nilai disiplin melalui pembelajaran IPA dapat membentuk karakter baik siswa. Adapun karakter baik selain disiplin yang terbentuk yaitu karakter jujur, berani, adil dan kasih sayang. Kendala yang dialami selama proses internalisasi nilai disiplin melalui pembelajaran IPA adalah sulitnya mengontrol siswa untuk tetap disiplin, kurangnya sarana dan prasarana serta kurangnya pengawasan orang tua dari rumah. This research is motivated by the value of discipline that can be internalized through the science learning process in schools. This is in line with the vision and mission of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur, namely the realization of Islamic students, intelligent, skilled, disciplined and accomplished. This is what prompted researchers to conduct a descriptive study at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The problem in this research is how the planning, process, evaluation and obstacles experienced in internalizing the value of discipline through science learning to shape the good character of students. The purpose of this research is to provide information related to the implementation of internalization of discipline values through science learning. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The subjects in this study were the Head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Madrasah for Curriculum, science subject teachers, and students who were involved in learning. The object of this research is science learning. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used data triangulation methods, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that the teacher internalized the value of discipline through science learning in shaping the good character of students. The strategy used is through exemplary methods, habituation and an integrated learning approach. In learning activities, the internalization of discipline values appears in each learning activity including: preliminary, core and closing activities. Internalization of discipline values through science learning can shape students' good character. The good characters besides discipline are formed, namely honest, brave, fair and compassionate characters. The obstacles experienced during the process of internalizing the value of discipline through science learning are the difficulty of controlling students to remain disciplined, the lack of facilities and infrastructure and the lack of parental supervision from home.
