Abstract

The research is motivated by the need to have creative thinking skills in the 21st century where creative thinking skills are one of the four skills that must be possessed according to UNESCO. application of open-ended models and approaches in improving creative thinking skills and mathematical exploration competencies. This study uses quantitative research methods with a quasi-experimental research design. The asymp sig values from the post-test KBK and KEM control and experimental groups were 0.05 and 0.786, both values >0.05, which means that there is no difference in creative thinking skills and mathematical exploration competence of students in the control and experimental groups after being given treatment. The overall n-gain scores of the pre-test post-test of the experimental and control groups were 69.54 and 76.58.
