Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kecenderungan manusia berbuat semena-mena terhadap lingkungan, sering sekali manusia sebagai ‘penguasa’ bumi tidak bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan yang ditempatinya, dengan itu kesadaran terhadap pentingnya tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan harus ditanamkan dan didik. Sekolah menjadi tempat strategis untuk membangun kesadaran tersebut, dan guru adalah peran utama dalam pembentukan karakter tersebut yang dalam penelitian ini adalah karakter green behaviour. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam membentuk green behaviour peserta didik baik secara kognitif, afektif maupun psikomotorik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan yang menjadi subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru IPS di SMP El-Fitra. Penentuan subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, peserta didik dan wakil kepala sekolah bagian kurikulum di SMP El-Fitra Kota Bandung. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu peran guru sebagai mengajar dan mendidik, bimbingan, memerikan arahan, serta memberikan teladan pada peserta didik dalam pembentukan green behaviour. Untuk pelaksanaan green behaviour di SMP El-Fitra, dengan mengadakan fasilitas dan pemenuhan kebutuhan terhadap program green behaviour, seperti pengadaan tempat sampah dan menyediakan makanan dan minum untuk isi ulang. Sehingga meminimalisir penambahan sampah dan untuk menjaga kebersiahannya ada penerapan program class competition. Sementara perilaku siswa mengenai green behaviour di SMP El-fitra sudah mencerminakan, seperti siswa terbiasa membawa tempat makan sendiri, menjaga kebersihan diri dan menjaga lingkungan sekitar ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the tendency of humans to act arbitrarily to the environment, often humans as the 'rulers' of the earth are not responsible for the environment they inhabit, therefore awareness of the importance of environmental responsibility must be instilled and educated. Schools become a strategic place to build this awareness and teachers are the main role in shaping these characters, which in this study is the character of green behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in shaping the green behavior of students both cognitively, affectively and psychomotorically. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research and the population of this study are all social studies teachers at El-Fitra Junior High School. The determination of the subject in this study was the principal, students and vice principal of the curriculum section at El-Fitra Junior High School, Bandung City. The results of this study are the teacher's role as teaching and educating, guiding, providing direction, and providing an example to students in the formation of green behavior. For the implementation of green behavior at the El-Fitra Junior High School, by providing facilities and meeting the needs of the green behavior program, such as the procurement of trash bins and providing food and drinks to fill up activities so as to minimize the addition of waste and to maintain its cleanliness there is the application of a class competition program. Meanwhile, students' behavior regarding green behavior at El-fitra Junior High School has reflected, such as students are accustomed to bringing their own food, maintaining personal hygiene and protecting the surrounding environment.
