Abstract
Kepedulian terhadap lingkungan yang masih kurang dari masyarakat Indonesia dapat ditanamkan kepada siswa di sekolah dasar dengan program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) tahap pembelajaran melalui buku teks tematik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian di antara konten-konten dalam buku teks tematik siswa sekolah dasar yang berkaitan dengan literasi lingkungan dalam konteks membaca pemahaman literal. Dengan mengetahui kesesuaian konten buku teks tematik terkait konteks literasi lingkungan pada teks yang disajikan dengan membaca pemahaman literal, maka penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran yang sesuai tujuan kurikulum 2013 yaitu pembelajaran yang bermakna dan kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar koding analisis isi yang berdasarkan indikator literasi lingkungan dan indikator membaca pemahaman literal. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif. Fokus penelitian ini menggambarkan karakteristik pesan dalam buku teks tematik siswa dengan cara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya masing-masing indikator pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan literasi lingkungan dalam buku teks tematik siswa. Dari buku teks tematik yang dianalisis, presentase indikator literasi lingkungan untuk membaca pemahaman literal menunjukan rata-rata baik. Berdasarkan presentase hasil analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa indikator literasi lingkungan untuk membaca pemahaman literal sudah disajikan dalam buku teks tematik siswa di kelas tinggi SD. Kata kunci: literasi lingkungan, membaca pemahaman literal, analisis isi, buku teks tematik ABSTRACT The concern for the environment that is still lacking from the Indonesian people can be instilled in students in elementary schools with the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program at the learning stage through student thematic textbooks. This study aims to determine the suitability of the contents in the thematic textbooks of elementary school students related to environmental literacy in the context of reading literal comprehension. By knowing the suitability of the thematic textbook content related to the context of environmental literacy in the text presented by reading literal understanding, this research can be taken into consideration to improve the learning process according to the objectives of the 2013 curriculum, namely meaningful and contextual learning. The method used is content analysis with a quantitative approach. The data collection instrument used was a content analysis coding sheet based on environmental literacy indicators and literal comprehension reading indicators. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The focus of this research is describing the characteristics of messages in students' thematic textbooks in a descriptive way. The results showed that there were indicators of knowledge, attitudes and environmental literacy skills in students' thematic textbooks. From the thematic textbooks analyzed, the percentage of environmental literacy indicators for reading literal understanding shows a good average. Based on the percentage of the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that environmental literacy indicators for reading literal understanding have been presented in thematic textbooks of students in high school grades.
