Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada profesionalisme guru PAUD yang ditinjau melalui kualifikasi akademik. Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan profesionalisme guru PAUD yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan linier dan tidak linier yang diukur melalui Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG), karena UKG merupakan salah satu indikator profesionalisme guru yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Ex-post facto. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu berjumlah 147 guru Taman Kanak-kanak yang telah mengikuti UKG. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu mengobservasi langsung ke Dinas Pendidikan setempat untuk memperoleh skor UKG guru yang kemudian datanya dianalisis melalui Uji Normalitas dan Uji Independent T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualifikasi akademik linier yang dimiliki dimiliki oleh guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Mustikajaya lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan yang tidak linier dengan PAUD. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan linier tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan profesionalisme guru yang berlatar belakang tidak linier. Rekomendasi yang disampaikan adalah perlunya peninjauan serta penguatan kembali linieritas kualifikasi akademik guru. Perlu adanya kerjasama kolaboratif antara para guru, sekolah serta organisasi profesi untuk peningkatan profesionalisme guru PAUD. Kata Kunci : Guru Taman Kanak-kanak, Linieritas, Profesionalisme This research focuses on the professionalism of Earlu Childhood Education (ECE) teachers which is reviewed through academic qualifications. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference in the professionalism of Earlu Childhood Education (ECE) teachers who have linear and non linear educational backgrounds as measured through the Teacher Competency Test (TCT), because Teacher Competency Test (TCT) is one of the indicators of teacher professionalism set by the government. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. The population in this study amounted to 147 Earlu Childhood Education (ECE) teachers who had attended Teacher Competency Test (TCT). The data collection technique in this study was direct observation to the local Education Office to obtain teachers' UKG scores which were then analyzed through Normality Test and Independent T Test. The results showed that the linear academic qualifications of Kindergarten teachers in Mustikajaya District were less than those that were not linear with Earlu Childhood Education (ECE). The results also show that the professionalism of teachers with linear educational backgrounds is not significantly different from the professionalism of teachers with non linear backgrounds. The recommendation submitted was the need for a review and re-strengthening of the linearity of teacher academic qualifications. There is a need for collaborative collaboration between teachers, schools and professional organizations to increase the professionalism of Earlu Childhood Education (ECE) teachers.
