Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah semakin sedikitnya penelitian tentang cerita pantun, dan pantun Lutung Kasarung sebagai cerita yang dianggap sakral dan kaya akan nilai pemikiran dan keyakinan filosofis masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur, motif, semiotik, dan intertekstual dalam cerita pantun Lutung Kasarung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan objek cerita pantun Lutung Kasarung versi C.M Pleyte (LKP) dan versi Ajip Rosidi (LKA). Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi. Hasilnya: (1) struktur cerita LKP dan LKA memiliki beberapa perbedaan meskipun ceritanya sama-sama menceritakan tentang Lutung Kasarung, (2) secara akumulatif ada 18 motif yang ditemukan di LKP dan LKA, (3) baik LKP dan LKA kaya akan tanda dan simbol dalam isi cerita, (4) LKP dan LKA saling terkait baik antara dua cerita atau dengan teks sastra dan sejarah lainnya. Hal ini terjadi karena teks suatu karya sastra tidak terlepas dari hubungannya dengan teks-teks sebelumnya. Kata kunci: intertékstual, Lutung Kasarung, motif, sémiotik, struktur The background of this study is the decreasing research about pantun, and Lutung Kasarung as a story that considered sacred and rich people's philosophical thoughts and beliefs. This study aims to describe the structure, motifs, semiotics, and intertextuality in pantun Lutung Kasarung. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical with the object of pantun Lutung Kasarung version C.M Pleyte (LKP) and version Ajip Rosidi (LKA). The technique used in this research is a documentation. The results: (1) the structure of the LKP and LKA stories has some differences even though the stories both tell about Lutung Kasarung, (2) accumulatively there are 18 motifs found in LKP and LKA, (3) both LKP and LKA are rich in signs and symbols in the content of the story, (4) LKP and LKA are interrelated either between the two stories or with other literary and historical texts. This happens because the text of a literary work cannot be separated from its relationship with previous texts. Keywords: intertextual, motifs, Lutung Kasarung, sémiotik, struktur
