Abstract

Penggunaan multi representasi dalam pembelajaran dapat membantu memudahkan siswa dalam memahami suatu konsep fisika secara mendalam. Namun, pembelajaran yang dilakukan lebih mementingkan pada perhitungan atau verbal atau salah satu representasinya saja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsistensi representasi dan konsistensi ilmiah siswa SMA di Kota Bandung khususnya dalam penguasaan konsep fisika mengenai hukum Newton tentang gerak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMA Negeri di Kota. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah convenience sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 114 siswa dari 5 sekolah di Kota Bandung. Instrumen tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk multi representasi yang terbagi dalam 7 tema/kode soal dan masing-masing kode soal terdiri dari 3 representasi sehingga total soal keseluruhan adalah 21 soal. Teknik analisis data hasil penelitian yaitu dengan memberikan skor tingkat konsistensi representasi dan ilmiah yang mengacu pada R-FCI dari Nieminen, dkk. (2010) yang kemudian hasil dari penskoran dikategorikan menjadi 3 kategori konsistensi yaitu, konsisten, cukup konsisten, dan tidak konsisten. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di Kota Bandung untuk konsistensi representasi didapatkan 2.0% siswa konsisten representasi dengan rata-rata skor konsistensi 1.71, 27% siswa cukup konsisten representasi dengan skor rata-rata konsistensi 1.41, dan 71% siswa tidak konsisten dengan rata-rata skor konsistensi 0,71. Sedangkan perolehan hasil penelitian konsistensi ilmiah di Kota Bandung didapatkan bahwa 0% siswa konsisten ilmiah, 23% siswa cukup konsisten dengan skor rata-rata konsistensi ilmiah 1.4, dan 77% siswa tidak konsisten dengan rata-rata skor konsistensi ilmiah 0,38. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa masih belum memahami dengan baik konsep fisika pada materi hukum Newton tentang gerak. PROFILE OF REPRESENTATION CONSISTENCY AND SCIENTIFIC CONSISTENCY OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE CITY OF BANDUNG IN NEWTON'S LAW OF MOTION The use of multiple representations in learning can help facilitate students in understanding a physics concept in depth. However, the learning that is carried out is more concerned with calculations or verbal or one of its representations. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the consistency of representation and scientific consistency of high school students in Bandung, especially in mastering the concept of physics regarding Newton's laws of motion. The research method used is the survey method. The population in this study were all SMA Negeri in Bandung City. The sampling technique is convenience sampling. The number of samples in this study were 114 students from 5 schools in the city of Bandung. The test instrument used in this study is in the form of multi-representation which is divided into 7 themes/question codes and each question code consists of 3 representations so that the total questions was 21 questions. The data analysis technique of research results is to provide a score for the level of consistency of representation and scientific reference to the R-FCI from Nieminen, et al. (2010) which is then the results of the scoring are categorized into 3 categories of consistency, namely, consistent, fairly consistent, and inconsistent. Based on the results of research in the city of Bandung for representation consistency, 2.0% of students were consistent with representation with an average consistency score of 1.71, 27% of students were quite consistent in representation with an average consistency score of 1.41, and 71% of students were inconsistent with an average consistency score of 0.71. While the acquisition of scientific consistency research results in the city of Bandung, it was found that 0% of students were scientifically consistent, 23% of students were quite consistent with an average score of 1.4 scientific consistency, and 77% students were inconsistent with an average scientific consistency score of 0.38. These results indicate that the majority of students still do not understand well the concepts of physics in Newton's laws of motion.
