Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dampak adanya Covid-19 yang menjadikan proses pembelajaran berubah dari luring menjadi daring, sehingga intensitas pertemuan guru dan siswa pun berubah yang mengharuskan siswa dapat lebih mandiri dalam pembelajaran. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B di SMP Negeri 2 Bandung. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berusaha mendeskripsikan (1) kemandirian belajar siswa selama pembelajaran daring yang meliputi kedisiplinan dalam belajar, inisiatif dalam belajar, bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas, dan rasa percaya diri siswa terhadap kemampuan diri, (2) upaya guru membentuk kemandirian belajar siswa, serta (3) kendala guru dalam membentuk kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang disertakan dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi, pembagian kuisioner dan wawancara kepada siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 2 Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VIII B SMPN 2 Bandung dalam mata pelajaran IPS selama pembelajaran daring sudah baik dan tergolong “mandiri” dalam rentang 70% - 89% dengan persentase 71.55%. Dengan jumlah siswa yang sudah sangat mandiri sebanyak 2 orang siswa, 17 orang sudah mandiri, 8 orang sudah cukup mandiri, 3 orang masih kurang mandiri dan 2 orang siswa masih sangat kurang mandiri. Sehingga apabila dihitung maka siswa di kelas VIII B yang memiliki tingkat kemandirian belajar tinggi adalah sebanyak 59%, siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemandirian belajar sedang adalah sebanyak 25%, dan siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemandirian belajar yang masih rendah adalah sebanyak 16%. This research was motivated by the impact of Covid-19 which made the learning process change frome offline to online, so that the intensity of teacher and student meetings also changes which requires students to be more independent in learning. The object in this study was a student of class VIII B at SMP Negeri 2 Bandung. Therefore, this study seeks to describe (1) students' learning independence during online learning which includes discipline in learning, initiative in learning, responsibility for assignments, and students' confidence in self-ability, (2) teacher efforts to form student learning independence, and (3) teacher constraints in forming student learning independence. This research uses qualitative approaches that come with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out by observing, sharing questionnaires and interviews to students of class VIII B SMPN 2 Bandung. The results of this study showed that the learning independence of students of class VIII B SMPN 2 Bandung in IPS subjects during online learning was good and classified as "independent" in the range of 70% - 89% with a percentage of 71.55%. With the number of students who are very independent as many as 2 students, 17 people are independent, 8 people are quite independent, 3 people are still less independent and 2 students are still very less independent. So if calculated, students in class VIII B who have a high level of learning independence is as much as 59%, students who have a moderate level of independence of learning are as much as 25%, and students who have a low level of learning independence are as much as 16%.
