Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara orientasi tujuan pencapaian sosial dan kualitas persahabatan pada mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2018-2021 yang berusia 18 sampai 25 tahun (N=320). Jumlah sampel ditentukkan dengan menggunakan teknik quota sampling berdasarkan pada variasi jenis kelamin, fakultas, serta tahun angkatan. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah Social Achievement Goal Scales dan McGill Friendship Questionnaire–Friendship Function (MFQ-FF) dalam bentuk kuesioner yang disebarkan secara daring. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu, teknik analisis korelasi Pearson dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara ketiga jenis orientasi tujuan pencapaian sosial yang meliputi orientasi tujuan pengembangan sosial, orientasi tujuan pendekatan-demonstrasi sosial dan orientasi tujuan penghindaran-demonstrasi sosial dengan kualitas persahabatan pada mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship between social achievement goal orientation and the friendship quality among students at the University of Indonesia Education. The subjects in this study were students of the Indonesian Education University class of 2018-2021 aged 18 to 25 years (N=320). The number of samples was determined using the quota sampling technique based on variations in gender, faculty, and year of class. The instruments used are the Social Achievement Goal Scales and the McGill Friendship Questionnaire–Friendship Function (MFQ-FF) in the form of a questionnaire distributed online. The data analysis method used is Pearson correlation analysis technique using SPSS software. The results show that there is a relationship between the three types of social achievement goal orientations which include social development goal orientation, social demonstration-approach goal orientation and social demonstration-avoidance goal orientation with the quality of friendship in Indonesian Education University students.
