Abstract

Dukungan sosial merupakan dukungan yang didapatkan dari orang lain. Dukungan sosial dapat berupa dukungan emosional, dukungan penghargaan, dukungan instrumental, dan dukungan informatif. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat peran dukungan pasangan terhadap orangtua yang memiliki anak tunagrahita. Tunagrahita ialah kondisi dimana anak memiliki kemampuan intelektual dibawah rata-rata. Responden (N=160) orangtua yang memiliki pasangan dan mempunyai anak tunagrahita. Responden mengisi instrument dukungan sosial untuk mengukur tinggi rendahnya dukungan pasangan yang dirasakan individu. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peran dukungan pasangan bagi orangtua yang mempunyai anak tunagrahita. Social aid is help acquired from other human beings. This have a study pursuits to see the role of companion help for parents who have mentally retarded children. highbrow retardation is a circumstance in which youngsters have below not unusual intellectual skills.
