Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya perbedaan produksi dan produktivitas yang dihasilkan oleh petani di Desa Suntenjaya dan Desa Margamulya, namun memiliki karakteristik kondisi alam yang hampir sama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk: (1) menganalisis perbedaan tingkat kinerja petani kopi arabika java preanger di Desa Suntenjaya dan Desa Margamulya, (2) mengetahui faktor geografis apa sajakah yang mempengaruhi perbedaan tingkat kinerja, (3) mengetahui upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan tingkat kinerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kewilayahan dan metode komparatif deskriptif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji beda dan uji regresi liner berganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani kopi desa Suntenjaya termasuk ke dalam kategori tingkat kinerja kurang sedangkan petani kopi Desa Margamulya termasuk kedalam kategori tingkat kinerja sedang. Berdasarkan hasil uji beda menunjukkan bahwa tedapat perbedaan yang signifikan diantara kedua desa tersebut. Faktor yang dominan mempengaruhi tingkat kinerja yaitu organisasi. Seluruh variabel yakni modal, kondisi alam, teknologi, produksi, pemasaran dan organisasi berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini yakni mengoptimalkan peran petani kopi arabika serta meningkatkan peran aktif penyuluh pertanian daerah setempat. Kata Kunci : Tingkat Kinerja, Petani Kopi Arabika, Studi Komparasi ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the differences in production and productivity produced by arabica coffee farmers in the Suntenjaya village and Margamulya Village, although their almost have the same characteristics of natural conditions. The purpose of this research is to: (1) analyze the differences of performance level of arabica java preanger coffee farmers in Suntenjaya Village and Margamulya Village, (2) find out what geographical factors affect differences of performance levels, (3) find out what the efforts to improve performance level. This study uses a regional approach and descriptive comparative method. Data analysis techniques uses different test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed that Suntenjaya village coffee farmers were included in the category of underperformance while coffee farmers in Margamulya Village were included in the medium performance level category. Based on the results of different tests showed that there were significant differences between the two villages. The dominant factors affected the performance level is organization. All variables namely capital, natural conditions, technology, production, marketing and organization simultaneously affect the performance. The recommendations of this research are optimizing the role of Arabica coffee farmers and increasing the active role of local agricultural extension workers.
