Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran terutama dalam aspek menjelaskan, mencontohkan, menafsirkan, menbandingkan, mengasifikasikan, dan menyimpulkan. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Make a Match dalam membantu peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus dan 1 siklusnya terdiri dari satu pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemahman konsep siswa kelas IV SDN Gebangjaya 1 cukup meningkat dilihat dari hasil ketuntasan belajar siswa. Pada siklus 1 jumlah siswa yang sudah tuntas mencapai 10 orang. Peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 17 orang. Jumlah siswa yang tuntas pada setiap siklus menunjukkan bahwa model Cooperative Learning Tipe Make a Match bisa membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Berdasarkan temuan peneliti sangat disarankan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Make a Match menjadi pilihan model pembelajaran bagi guru atau pendidik untuk membantu pembelajaran dikelas. Kata Kunci: Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Make a Match ----- This research is motivated by the low ability to understand students' concepts in learning, especially in the aspects of explaining, exemplifying, interpreting, comparing, asserting, and concluding. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of the application of the Cooperative Learning model of Type Make a Match in helping to increase student learning activities and the ability to understand students' concepts in learning. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research. This study consisted of 2 cycles and 1 cycle consisted of one meeting. The results of the study showed that the ability to understand the concept of fourth grade students at SDN Gebangjaya 1 was quite increased seen from the results of student mastery learning. In cycle 1 the number of students who have completed reaches 10 people. Increased student mastery learning increased in the second cycle to 17 people. The number of students who complete each cycle shows that the Cooperative Learning model of the Make a Match type can help students improve their ability to understand concepts. Based on the findings of the researchers, it is strongly recommended that the Cooperative Learning model of Type Make a Match be the choice of learning models for teachers to assist learning in the classroom Keyword: Cooperative Learning Model Type Make a Match
