Abstract

Adanya pandemi Covid 19 yang menimpa Indonesia mengakibatkan adanya perubahan di bidang pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran yang biasanya dilakukan secara tatap muka sekarang berganti menjadi pembelajaran online. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran online yaitu Google Classroom. Dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Google Classroom, siswa dapat belajar, membaca dan menerima materi, serta dapat mengirimkan tugas secara jarak jauh. Akan tetapi disamping itu, adanya perubahan sistem dan penggantian media pembelajaran dari yang biasanya tentunya bisa berpengaruh pada motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mencari tahu seberapa besar pengaruh dari penggunaan media pembelajaran Google Classroom terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di masa pandemi Covid 19 khususnya siswa dan siswi SMA Pasundan Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket tertutup dengan bantuan Google Form yang disebarkan melalui media sosial Whatsapp. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan media pembelajaran Google Classroom yang berlangsung di SMA Pasundan Bandung dalam kategori sedang, artinya siswa dan siswi tidak merasakan kesulitan dalam menggunakan Google Classroom sebagai media pembelajaran; (2) tingkat motivasi belajar di SMA Pasundan Bandung di masa pandemi Covid 19 dalam kategori sedang atau cukup (3) pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Google Classroom terhadap motivasi belajar siswa memiliki hubungan positif dan kuat. The learning process is usually done face-to-face but now changing to online learning. One of the learning media used in the online learning process is Google Classroom. By using Google Classroom as a learning medium, students can learn, read and receive the material, and can send assignments remotely. However, besides that, changes in the system and learning media from the usual ones can certainly affect students' learning motivation. Therefore, this study intends to find out how much influence the use of Google Classroom learning media has on students' learning motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic, especially the students of SMA Pasundan Bandung. This study used a descriptive study method with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique in this study used a closed questionnaire with the help of Google Forms distributed through WhatsApp social media. The results showed that (1) the use of Google Classroom learning media that took place at middle category, meaning that students did not experience difficulties in using Google Classroom as a learning medium; (2) the level of motivation to study at SMA Pasundan Bandung during the Covid 19 pandemic was enough or in the middle category (3) the effect of using Google Classroom learning media on students' learning motivation has a positive and strong relationship.
