Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara power lengan dan fleksibilitas panggul baik secara parsial maupun bersama-sama dengan ketepatan dan kecepatan overhand throw. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada atlet putra softball Banten tahun 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik total sampling, yang terdiri dari 15 orang atlet. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu softball throw untuk mengukur power lengan, sit and reach test untuk mengukur fleksibilitas panggul, overhand accuracy throw untuk mengukur ketepatan lemparan atas dan tes kecepatan lemparan atas (menggunakan alat speed radar gun). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, korelasi antara power lengan dengan ketepatan overhand throw sebesar r = -0,56 sedangkan korelasi antara power lengan dengan kecepatan overhand throw sebesar r = 0,933. Korelasi antara fleksibilitas panggul dengan ketepatan overhand throw sebesar r = 0,102 dan korelasi antara fleksibilitas panggul dengan kecepatan overhand throw sebesar r = 0,38. Korelasi antara power lengan dan fleksibilitas panggul secara bersama-sama dengan ketepatan overhand throw sebesar r = 0,083, korelasi antara power lengan dan fleksibilitas panggul secara bersama-sama dengan kecepatan overhand throw sebesar r = 40,554. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa power lengan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan ketepatan overhand throw, namun memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kecepatan overhand throw. Fleksibilitas panggul tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan ketepatan dan kecepatan overhand throw. Power lengan dan fleksibilitas panggul secara bersama-sama memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kecepatan overhand throw sebesar 87,1% tetapi tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan ketepatan overhand throw. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between arm power and hip flexibility both partially and jointly against accuracy and velocity of overhand throw in softball. The research was conducted on male athletes in softball Banten in 2021. This study used correlational quantitative methods. Determination of the research sample using total sampling technique, which consists of 15 athletes. The instruments used were softball throw to measure arm power, sit and reach test to measure pelvic flexibility, overhand accuracy throw to measure top throw accuracy and top throw velocity test (using a speed radar gun). Based on the research results, the correlation between arm power and the accuracy of the overhand throw is r = 0.56, while the correlation between arm power and the speed of the overhand throw is r = 0.933. The correlation between hip flexibility and the accuracy of the overhand throw is r = 0.102 and the correlation between hip flexibility and the speed of the overhand throw is r = 0.38. The correlation between arm power and hip flexibility together on the overhand throw accuracy is r = 0.083, the correlation between arm power and hip flexibility simultaneously to the overhand throw speed is r = 40.554. It can be concluded that arm power does not have a significant relationship with the accuracy of the overhand throw, but has a significant relationship with the speed of the overhand throw. Hip flexibility did not have a significant relationship with the accuracy and speed of the overhand throw. Arm power and hip flexibility together have a significant relationship to the speed of the overhand throw by 87.1% but do not have a significant relationship to the accuracy of the overhand throw.
