Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari karena adanya ancaman terhadap negara yang akhinya bisa memecah keutuhan negara, pentingnya memperkuat dan memperkokoh nilai dasar bela negara adalah upaya dalam menanggulangi ancaman terhadap negara, Adapun sekolah menjadi salah satu tempat untuk menanamkan, memperkuat, dan memperkokoh nilai-nilai bela negara. Program Character Building and Self Development Student adalah salah satu upaya sekolah Citra Cemara untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai bela negara dengan tujuan memperkuat rasa nasionalisme, cinta tanah air, toleransi, dll. Penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metodenya studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan pada penelitian ini diantaranya Character Building and Self Development Student adalah program yang dibentuk oleh sekolah Citra Cemara, dalam program tersebut diantaranya adalah Program Bina Karakter, Live-In, Culture Night, Historical Race, OSIS, Ekstrakurkuler, dll. Program-program yang mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter dengan kebutuhan peserta didik membutuhkan waktu bertahap sampai program tersebut menjadi program unggul. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya perubahan sikap dan perilaku peserta didik diantaranya lebih disiplin, bertanggungjawab, saling menghormati, mempunyai toleransi yang kuat dan lebih penting terciptanya lingkungan yang nyaman dan aman bagi peserta didik dengan latar belakang yang beragam dari segi suku, agama dan budaya, kemudian tujuan akhirnya terbentuknya generasi muda yang kuat dengan nilai-nilai bela negaranya. Kata Kunci : Bela Negara, Character Building, Nasionalisme, Toleransi, Siswa, Sekolah ABSTRACT RIKI RUSTIANA (1802611) “IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE DEFENSE VALUES THROUGH CHARACTER BUILDING AND SELF DEVELOPMENT STUDENT PROGRAM (Case Study at Citra Cemara School, Bandung) This research is based on the existence of threats to the state which can eventually break up the integrity of the state, the importance of strengthening and strengthening the basic values of defending the state is an effort to overcome threats to the state, while schools are a place to instill, strengthen, and strengthen the values of defending the state. The Character Building and Self Development Student Program is one of the Citra Cemara school's efforts to instill the values of defending the country with the aim of strengthening a sense of nationalism, love for the homeland, tolerance, etc. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings in this study include Character Building and Self Development Student, a program formed by the Citra Cemara school, in these programs including the Character Development Program, Live-In, Culture Night, Historical Race, Student Council, Extracurricular, etc. Programs that support strengthening character education with the needs of students take time gradually until the program becomes a superior program. This is evidenced by changes in the attitudes and behavior of students including being more disciplined, responsible, respectful, having strong tolerance and more importantly creating a comfortable and safe environment for students with diverse backgrounds in terms of ethnicity, religion and culture.
